Information processing device, information processing method, and program

Provided is a technique with which a batter who is practicing batting with a tee can acknowledge how the batter should change his/her hitting posture. An information processing device includes a processor that executes: (a) continuously measuring, according to either or both of output signals from a motion sensor and a force plate, a posture of a batter who is practicing batting with a tee; (b) determining, according to an output signal from a force sensor internally stored in the tee, a timing at which the batter hits a ball placed at the tee; (c) determining, as a hitting posture of the batter, a posture of the batter at the determined timing; and (d) outputting a message instructing the batter to change the batter's hitting posture, according to information indicating an exemplary hitting posture and information indicating the determined batter's hitting posture.

System and method for quantification of exercise and physical therapy

A system for quantification of exercise and physical therapy includes an anchoring module and an electronics module. The anchoring module is removably attached to an object (e.g., a flexible resistive band) or equipped with a clamping mechanism for removably securing the object. The anchoring module also includes an anchoring-module coupling fixture. At least one of the modules includes a sensor (e.g., a force sensor) configured to generate a signal representative of a user's performance during exercise or physical therapy; a processor configured to receive signals from the force sensor; a computer storage medium storing software code and in communication with the processor, wherein the software code includes instruction for processing the signals from the force sensor to quantify the performance; and at least one electronics-module coupling fixture configured to secure the electronics module to the anchoring module coupling fixture.

System and method for player's identification

A system includes a database, a tracking arrangement, a motion sensor device and a processing arrangement. The database stores profiles for each sports player, each profile comprising identifying information for the player and a playerID. The tracking arrangement captures shot data corresponding to trajectories of sports balls launched by the players. The motion sensor device captures motion data corresponding to a swinging motion of a player or ball striking implement. The tracking arrangement and the motion sensor device: detect a first swing of a first player from the motion data captured by the motion sensor device, the first player being associated with a first playerID; associate the first swing of the first player with a timestamp and a location; and associate a first trajectory of a sports ball from the shot data captured by the tracking arrangement to the first swing based on the timestamp and the location.

GOLF SHOT TRACKING SYSTEM

A golf tracking system including a tag coupled to a golf club. The tag includes a plurality of sensors, each which output a signal based on a detected movement of the golf club, a microcontroller that compares each of the plurality of sensor outputs to stored reference sensor output values, and a transceiver that transmits data corresponding to the sensor outputs to a device remote from the tag based on the comparison performed by the microcontroller. The location-aware device then processes the information received from the tag to determine whether a shot should be registered.

REFLEXIVE TRAINING APPARATUS

A reflexive training apparatus for mixed martial arts training. The training apparatus includes limbs with joints that simulate actual human joints and also simulate how a human joint would respond to different pressures, bars, locks, holds, breaks, and hyperextensions. In addition, the training apparatus is configured to go into several guard positions and to respond to a user's actions in a manner similar to how a real opponent would respond during a grappling session. In some embodiments, the training apparatus comprises a composite of materials that make the training apparatus sturdy enough to simulate the weight and feel of an actual person.

Support part of a starting block in swimming

A support part of a swimming start block. The front support part (18) is provided for a starting block (1) of a swimming race, which includes at least one base (9) to be fixed around a swimming pool, and a platform (5) which is mounted or fixed on the base (9). A foot of a swimmer as well as his hands are supported before the start of a race on the front support part. This front support part is arranged to be mounted interchangeably on a front portion of the platform (5) of the starting block (18) and can be an intelligent front support part with motion sensors and light source and race management electronics.

System and method for remotely providing and monitoring physical therapy
12029942 · 2024-07-09 · ·

An apparatus, a method, and a computer program product for use in performing, monitoring, and evaluating the performance of therapeutic exercises. The apparatus includes a human-device interface and a motion sensor. In response to movement of the human-device interface, a controller receives motion data from the motion sensor, and transmits the motion data to a computing device. Based on the motion data, the computing device displays a graphical element that depicts the movement. The computing device compares the movement to a target motion, and if the movement matches the target motion, displays a graphical element indicating an exercise is being performed properly. If the movement does not match the target motion, the computing device indicates the exercise is not being performed properly and displays another graphical element indicating how to correct the motion.

Flagging irregularities in user performance in an exercise machine system

Flagging irregularities in user performance in an exercise machine system. In one aspect of the disclosure, a method may include receiving first performance parameters of a first user associated with a first exercise machine that is executing a video workout program to enable the first user to perform a workout on the first exercise machine.
