REPETITION PHASE DETECTION
20240269512 · 2024-08-15 ·

Controlling an exercise machine includes receiving a stream of measurements of extension of a component of an exercise machine. It further includes detecting a first phase of a repeated motion. It further includes detecting a transition to a second phase of the repeated motion. A time constraint is applied to the detection of the transition to the second phase of the repeated motion. It further includes controlling a resistance associated with the second phase of the repeated motion.

20240275211 · 2024-08-15 ·

A device including a visual or audible signaling means and a motion sensor, and logic for activating or controlling the signaling means in response to a sensed motion according to an embedded logic is disclosed. The device may be used as a toy for amusement, and may be shaped like a play ball or as a handheld unit. The device may be powered from a battery, which may be charged from an AC power directly or contactless by using induction or by converting electrical energy from harvested kinetic energy. The embedded logic may activate or control the signaling means, predictably or randomly, in response to the sensed acceleration magnitude or direction, such as sensing the crossing a preset threshold or sensing the peak value. The visual means may be a numeric display for displaying a value associated with the count of the number of times the threshold has been exceeded or the peak magnitude of the acceleration sensed.

BOWLING BALL LAUNCH DEVICE

The bowling ball launch device launches a bowling bowl according to user input. The bowling ball launch device is self-contained and allows people of any age and ability to train and play the game of bowling. The bowling ball launch device includes a ball launch unit and a ball launch chamber in its internal cavity. Rails extend though the device along which the bowling ball travels through to an exit hole. A motor in the interior of the device transfers power to a drive belt which in turn rotates power wheels. The outer surfaces of the rotating power wheels come into contact with the bowling ball and impart speed. The device is operated using a power supply and electronic components under control of a programmable circuit board.

REMOTE LESSON SYSTEM

Provided is a remote lesson system allowing a player to receive precise advices at a remote location. A remote lesson system 200 is comprised of a portable terminal 2 owned by a player P; and a cloud server 4 capable of communicating with the portable terminal 2. The portable terminal 2 includes a data analysis part for transmitting, from the portable terminal 2 to the cloud server 4, swing measurement data that have been collected by measuring the player P's motions during the play and quantified. The cloud server 4 includes an advice information generation part that generates and outputs advice information associated with the player P's motions from an output layer of a neural network when the swing measurement data have been input into an input layer of the neural network; and an advice information feeding part for transmitting such advice information to a coach terminal 6.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRACKING AND RECOMMENDING BREATHING EXERCISES USING WEARABLE DEVICES

A method includes collecting motion data of a user using a head-worn device while the user is performing a breathing exercise. The method also includes, for a window of the motion data, generating breathing depth features based on the motion data. The method further includes determining, using a first machine learning model that receives the breathing depth features as inputs, whether the motion data corresponds to a non-breathing motion. In addition, the method includes, responsive to determining that the motion data corresponds to the non-breathing motion, presenting a first notification to the user to adjust head motion.

Running method determination device, running-method determination method, and program

A running method determination device includes at least one processor that executes a program stored in at least one memory. The at least one processor acquires motion data at a time of running of a user, calculates, based on acceleration data in multiple axial directions included in the acquired motion data, a sum of acceleration vectors in the multiple axial directions as a resultant vector, and determines a type of a running method of the user using at least an angle of the calculated resultant vector as a standard of determination.

Exercise bike

An exercise bike includes a frame, a rotor assembly and a drive assembly mounted on the frame, where the drive assembly is configured to drive rotation of the rotor assembly, and a cover configured to at least partially cover the rotor assembly. The components of the drive assembly and the rotor assembly include structures that improve the performance of the exercise bike, including but not limited to a strong and rigid construction and improvements in belt tracking, user feel, effort consistency, synchronization, and rotor performance.

Sports Training System
20240261660 · 2024-08-08 ·

A system for sports training comprising an object comprising one or more sensors that allows the system to identify the location of the object. The object also may have a microprocessor and wireless transmitter to allow for transmission of the sensor data via wireless transmission to an external electronic device. A software application running on the electronic device, such as a mobile phone or tablet, receives the sensor data and incorporates the information into a game-like or training application. This application can display to the user which location the object should be for the game. This application can also analyze which patterns the player has difficulties with and suggest certain patterns and other advice to help the player to improve their skills. Use of ultra-wideband communication between objects and base stations can determine the position of objects for use in training in hockey or soccer.

Systems and methods for physical therapy

A system and method for facilitating physical therapy that may include a wearable display, wearable sensors disposed at varying positions on a user, a processor comprising executable instructions configured to provide a virtual reality environment, virtual characters, and therapeutic activities on the wearable display, wherein the virtual characters interact with the user to provide at least form feedback and positive reinforcement. A new instance of the virtual reality environment, with identifiable differences, may be generated in response to a measured completion or partial completion of a therapeutic activity. Changes in the virtual reality environment may offer users continued indications of progression throughout the duration of a physical therapy program. The system may include a connectable device comprising a display that duplicates a portion of the wearable displays image, enables interaction within the virtual reality environment, and allows for the selection and modification of therapeutic activities.
