Athletic data may be recorded and displayed using a computing device such as a mobile communication device during performance of physical activity. In some examples, the device may provide options for defining and recording athletic activity performed by the user. Such options may include various content item selection and rendering controls. Additionally or alternatively, route selection and controls may be provided through the device. Recorded activity data may further be transmitted to a remote site through a network.

Watch-type mobile terminal and method for controlling same

The present invention relates to a watch-type mobile terminal and a method for controlling the same. More specifically, the present invention relates to a watch-type mobile terminal which displays an activity amount, an exercise amount, and the physical age in the daily life of a user; and a method for controlling the same. In order to achieve the objective and other objectives, a watch-type mobile terminal according to one aspect of the present invention, comprises: a display unit; a sensing unit for sensing exercise information of a user and an input signal; and a control unit, wherein the control unit determines, from the exercise information, a first state in which a user is in the middle of daily activities, or a second state in which the user is in the middle of a predefined exercise. In case of the first state, the display unit displays a first indicator which represents a real-time activity amount. In the case of the second state, the display unit displays a second indicator which represents exercise efficiency.

Technologies for managing user-specific workouts
10105574 · 2018-10-23 · ·

Technologies for generating user-specific workout plans and tracking a user's progress are disclosed. The user-specific workout plan may be based on a user's goal and the particular workout facility to be used by the user. During performance of the user-specific workout by the user, the user is provided with workout data regarding the user's performance. Such workout data may be based on sensor data generated by sensors of the exercise machine used by the user and/or other sensors carried or worn by the user.

Hand Therapy Kit and Electronic Guide

A hand therapy kit includes a housing having a lid that is expandable from a folded position to an unfolded position to expose a working surface on an inside of the lid. An elastic cord is attached at two or more anchor points on the working surface to define at least one gap for receiving a finger. The finger can be therapeutically exercised by moving from a first position proximal to the working surface to a second position distal to the working surface. The hand therapy kit can also include removable hand therapy modules, including a therapeutic tracking glove and/or a pressure sensor ball.

System and method for identifying and correcting muscular and skeletal disbalances through exercise
20180296879 · 2018-10-18 ·

A method for identifying and correcting muscular and skeletal disbalances through exercise includes recording, by a processor, using at least one sensor coupled to the processor, an exercise motion performed by a user, identifying, by the processor, a motion deficiency of the user based on the detected exercise motion, formulating, by the processor, a corrective motion based on the detected motion deficiency, and providing, by the processor, the corrective motion to the user, which also includes identifying motion deficiencies as far as range of motion, balance, symmetry, smoothness, strength, stamina and other motion characteristics, formulating corrective exercise program that involves multiple training machines, formulating exercises in terms of number of repetitions, cadence (frequency) or motion, range of motion, added resistance levels, communicating the corrective exercise program via the screen embedded on each machine, and guiding the user through each exercise, directing user to change exercise machines.

Targeted limb rehabilitation using a reward bias

A multi-limb exercise machine and method that includes a plurality of user-movable input components, an input measurement device associated with each of the input components, a feedback device for providing the user with output information that indicates the difference between a current performance level and a performance target, and a processor that receives input information about user effort applied to each of the input components and communicates the output information to the feedback device. The input components are each configured to be moved by a limb of a user and to resist being moved. The processor determines the difference between performance levels based at least in part on a reward bias that decreases the difference more for effort applied to one of the input components than for effort applied to another of the input components.
