Light emitting clothing is disclosed. The light illuminating clothing has a plurality of light-emitting straps and a plurality of non-light-emitting straps. The straps are secured to metal rings to hold the straps in a desired configuration. The light-emitting straps have two light tubes disposed in parallel orientation with a space between the light tubes. LEDs are disposed at the ends of the light tubes and a control pack having batteries and a microprocessor is disposed at an end of the strap. The light emitting clothing may be in the shape of a harness to fit over top of standard clothing or may itself be embedded articles of clothing.

Training systems with wearable sensors for providing users with feedback
10065074 · 2018-09-04 · ·

A training system based on mobile technology and kinematics of human motion characterizes, analyzes, and supplies feedback to a user based on the user's movements. The training system includes a garment having a sensor control module connected to multiple sensor nodes via electrically-conductive fabric running along parts portions of the garment. The sensor module/nodes can communicate through the conductive fabric. The sensor nodes acquire motion and/or physiologic readings that are wirelessly transmitted to a mobile computing device that runs an application that analyzes the data and provides visual (e.g., graphs, 3D avatar) and audio feedback (e.g., voice prompts). Vibration motors and LEDs/electroluminescent fabric in the garment also provide notifications and alerts. The triple layer of garment, conductive fabric, and sensor module/sensor node are sealed against contaminants, allowing the garment to be washable.

Fitness system and method
10065073 · 2018-09-04 ·

A training device or apparatus for improving performance speed. In one embodiment, the training device includes first and second surfaces disposed in an opposing manner and defining a space therebetween. The space can allow at least one body part of an athlete to cyclically travel between the first and second surfaces in a plane that intersects both of the first and second surfaces. The athlete can be supported such that the body part is substantially free from external resistance along a direction of travel within the plane. In this way, repeated movement of a body part can occur between the first and second surfaces without fatiguing muscles due to external resistance, thereby lengthening the duration of the training session. The at least one body part can include the feet of the athlete.

WEIGHTS SYSTEM
20180243599 · 2018-08-30 · ·

A system for imparting a variable user force to a user, the system comprising: a line guide arrangement, including at least one moveable line guide which may move in both directions along a linear axis; wherein a force arrangement is arranged to apply at least one internal force to the at least one moveable line guide, wherein the at least one internal force opposes the motion of the at least one moveable line guide in a first direction along the linear axis; a member with which the user may interact so that the user force is applied to the user through the member; a line, having a distal end and a proximal end, with the distal end of the line attached to the member, the line being continuously threaded around the line guide arrangement; the system further comprising a line adjustment arrangement, wherein: the line adjustment arrangement is attached to the line, or is connected to move a component of the line guide arrangement; when the line adjustment arrangement is in a locked mode, there is a first ratio between distance moved by the member and distance moved by the force arrangement; and the line adjustment arrangement is operable to remove/introduce line between an entry point and the member, or actively move the component of the line guide arrangement, to alter the ratio between distance moved by the member and distance moved by the force arrangement during movement of the member.

Infrared Hockey Puck and Goal Detection System
20180243633 · 2018-08-30 ·

The two-part system includes a modified hockey puck and a set of goal units that can be mounted on a hockey goal. Within the puck are light sources, motion sensors, infrared transmitters, and a power source. Within the goal units are light sources, infrared sensors, and a microcontroller. When the goal units are mounted on the hockey goal, the infrared sensors form a detection area through which the puck must pass in order to count as a goal. The infrared transmitter of the puck and the infrared sensors of the goal units communicate with one another, and when an infrared signal is received the microcontroller triggers the light sources mounted to the goal to illuminate and indicate that a goal has been scored. Additionally, both the puck and the goal units are designed to reduce power consumption by switching between a low-energy mode or an active mode of operation.

Sports simulator and simulation method
