SMART SYSTEM FOR DISPLAY OF DYNAMIC MOVEMENT PARAMETERS IN SPORT AND TRAINING
20180117438 · 2018-05-03 ·

A system that wirelessly integrates actual golf equipment with a computer and the internet to allow players remotely located from one another to play a competitive real or simulated game of golf. An individual player may opt to play solo or practice to improve basic golfing techniques. The system includes smart golf clubs, a golf ball receptacle and a golf club motion sensing devices, all containing circuits and contact and or noncontact motion sensors coupled with signal processing and radio frequency transmitter circuitry to wirelessly communicate game performance information to a remote receiver-computer. The computer displays player information and visually simulates and controls a golf game between one or more local players or via the internet having similar equipment and remotely located from each other. Standard golf clubs may be retrofitted with the sensors and associated circuitry to convert such clubs into smart dubs for use with the system. The system employs specially developed computer software to process player performance data, control game play, communicate game information between players, generate and control visual simulations and display player performance information and dynamic motion parameters

Embodiments of the present invention are directed to devices, systems, and methods for measuring values obtained from one or more sensors installed on a player's tennis racket and/or worn on the player's body, and using those values to calculate various parameters, such as the physical position and motion of the tennis racket. Embodiments may translate the parameters and derive one or more occurrences corresponding to phases of a tennis point or drill and then generate real-time audible, visual, and/or haptic coaching prompts and other related commands and signals, for the purpose of improving a player's motor skills. Embodiments may also send and receive messages to/from other embodiments, thereby permitting a player to interact with other players, coaches, or devices, such as ball machines and cameras.

Vision training aid for baseball and softball tees and soft toss
09956465 · 2018-05-01 ·

Devices, systems, and methods for training baseball and softball batters, to identify types of pitched balls (fast ball, curve ball, slider and changeup) and locations (strike or non-strike zone) of pitched balls in order to increase hitting accuracy. A motion sensor can be triggered by the leading foot of a pitcher. The motion sensor can use cone or fan shaped sensor to detect the passage of a pitched ball from the pitcher. When the motion sensor is triggered, a signal can be sent to a black out lens that blocks the vision of a hitter being trained to identify the types and locations of the pitched balls. The training includes changing the lens from transparent to opaque at selected distances between the hitter and the pitcher. Batters can be trained to keep their eyes on the pitched balls until the ball reaches the batter. Baseball and softball batters can be trained to focus on the contact point between the ball and a swinging bat.

METHOD OF ADAPTIVE CONTROL OF A TREADMILL, TREADMILL WITH ADAPTIVE CONTROL AND RELATED PROGRAM PRODUCT

A method of adaptive control of a treadmill, the treadmill includes a base extending along a longitudinal axis, the base includes a first rotatable element and a second rotatable element adapted to rotate about respective rotation axes transversal to the longitudinal axis of the base. A physical exercise area operatively connects to the first and second rotatable elements. A motor is operatively associated with the first and/or second rotatable element. The motor is configured for rotating the first and the second rotatable and dragging in rotation the physical exercise surface. The method includes: determining by a data processing unit of the treadmill, a first electrical parameter of the treadmill representative of the interaction between a user and the physical exercise surface of the treadmill. The data processing unit controls the motor based on the first electrical parameter detected by the data processing unit.
