Golf swing sensor assembly
09713743 · 2017-07-25 · ·

Each club in the bag has a small sensor mount on its shaft with indicia indicating what club (9-iron, 7-iron, fairway 5-wood etc.) the mount is attached to. A swing sensor can then engage the mount and read the indicia, sending both sensed swing information and club type to an app on the golfer's mobile phone. In this way, the app knows not only the swing information but also the type of club that was used to generate that swing information.

INERTIAL AND OPTICAL MOTION SENSING DEVICE INTEGRATED INTO SPORTS EQUIPMENT
20250041689 · 2025-02-06 · ·

A motion sensing device with both inertial sensors and optical elements that integrates into a piece of sports equipment. Equipment with the device installed may look and feel like the original equipment. For example, for a baseball bat, a sensor package with a housing containing inertial sensors, cameras, and lights may be integrated into a knob that can be swapped with a standard bat knob; an additional sensor package may be integrated into a replacement bat cap. Sensor data and images from cameras in the device may be transmitted to a processor that calculates the equipment trajectory. External cameras may also capture images of lights in the device, which may flash or change in a pattern that is synchronized with the sensor data, and these images may also be used in trajectory calculations. Equipment with the motion sensing device may be used for virtual reality or for real sport activities.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR KNEE FLEXOR ASSESSMENT

An apparatus for use in assessing strength of at least one knee flexor muscle of a subject, the apparatus including a support, two securing members, each securing member securing a respective lower leg of the subject in a position that in use is substantially fixed relative to the support and at least one sensor, which in use senses a force indicative of the strength of the at least one knee flexor muscle in at least one leg of the subject while the subject performs an eccentric contraction of the at least one knee flexor muscle.

WEARABLE DEVICE FOR MEASURING SPORTS PERFORMANCE
20250041662 · 2025-02-06 ·

A wearable device for measuring sports performance comprises a wearable containment casing which houses therewithin a PCB provided with an electronic circuit having a microcontroller (MCU), movement detection means suitable to detect data relating to the instantaneous value of accelerations and rotation speed and to transfer them to said microcontroller for their processing thereby, wherein the microcontroller is suitable of simultaneously executing three secondary algorithms for calculating three different instantaneous speeds (V1(t), V2(t), V3(t)) to calculate the instantaneous speed (v(t)) as the weighted average of the values of said instantaneous speeds of said three secondary algorithms, using the formula

[00001] v ( t ) = a * V 1 ( t ) + b * V 2 ( t ) + c * V 3 ( t )

wherein a, b and c are the three coefficients of the weighted average selected as a function of the detected step frequency.
