A hybrid display system for a force measurement assembly, an exercise device, or an interactive game is disclosed herein. The hybrid display system includes a head-mounted visual display device having an output screen; at least one camera or a substantially transparent lens for enabling a system user to see one or more images of a real-world environment outside of the head-mounted visual display device; and a data processing device configured to generate a virtual reality environment and display the virtual reality environment on the output screen of the head-mounted visual display device, and the one or more images of the real-world environment being visible through the substantially transparent lens or the data processing device further configured to project at least a portion of the one or more images of the real-world environment captured by the at least one camera into the display of the virtual reality environment.
Dynamic adjustable exercise system
An adjustable weight exercise system is provided. A permanent weight assembly and a plurality of interlocking weights are provided. A base comprises an interlocking weight carrier, wherein the interlocking weights are supported on the interlocking weight carrier and an interlocking weight selector, wherein the interlocking weight selector is adapted to cause interlocking weights to be set to be locked to the permanent weight assembly while the permanent weight assembly is not on the base, wherein placement of the permanent weight assembly on the base causes interlocking weights that are set to be locked to the permanent weight assembly to be locked to the permanent weight assembly, and wherein placement of the permanent weight assembly on the base does not cause interlocking weights that are not set to be locked to the permanent weight assembly to be locked to the permanent weight assembly.
A Device for Displaying in Response to a Sensed Motion
A device including a visual or audible signaling means and a motion sensor, and logic for activating or controlling the signaling means in response to a sensed motion according to an embedded logic is disclosed. The device may be used as a toy for amusement, and may be shaped like a play ball or as a handheld unit. The device may be powered from a battery, which may be charged from an AC power directly or contactless by using induction or by converting electrical energy from harvested kinetic energy. The embedded logic may activate or control the signaling means, predictably or randomly, in response to the sensed acceleration magnitude or direction, such as sensing the crossing a preset threshold or sensing the peak value. The visual means may be a numeric display for displaying a value associated with the count of the number of times the threshold has been exceeded or the peak magnitude of the acceleration sensed.
INTERACTIVE BASKETBALL SYSTEM
Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for a basketball backboard. The basketball backboard includes a display screen, a plurality of sensors configured to generate sensor data regarding a shot attempt of a user, imaging devices configured to generate image data of the shot attempt, a speaker, and a control unit. The control unit can receive (i) the sensor data from the plurality of sensors and (ii) the image data from the imaging devices. Based on the received sensor data, the control unit can determine whether the shot attempt was successful. Based on the received image data and whether the shot attempt was successful, the control unit can generate analytics that indicate characteristics of the user and the shot attempt and recommendations for improving the shot attempt for subsequent shot attempts. The control unit can provide output data representing the analytics.
Removable motion sensor embedded in a sport instrument
A solution is provided to enhance motion detection and recognition of moving objects associated with various sports by intelligently embedding motion sensors into sport instruments such as tennis rackets, badminton rackets, baseball bats and golf clubs, that are swung in a three-dimensional (3D) space. The motion sensors embedded inside the sport instruments are securely locked and are detachable for replacement. A motion sensor inserted and locked inside a sport instrument is configured to detect motions associated with movements associated with the sport instrument. The motion parameters associated with the detected motion are collected through the embedded motion sensor and analyzed by a motion detection and recognition system. Based on the analysis of the motion parameters, various types of sports performance reports and performance improvement recommendations are generated for users of the sport instruments.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ANALYZING STROKING MOTIONS IN WATER SPORTS
A method and a system is disclosed for analysing a stroking motion in a water sport by using one or a plurality of sensing devices for generating physical measurements of the stroking motion, a computing device provided with a mobile application for receiving transmitted data of metrics from the sensing device, and a remote server capable of communicating with the mobile application to facilitate upload of the received metrics data to the remote server. The remote server is fashioned to compare the uploaded metrics to a set of values corresponding to predefined athletic data to produce results in terms of force used per time and to determine an optimised stroking motion.
WIRELESS METRIC CALCULATING AND FEEDBACK APPARATUS , SYSTEM, AND METHOD
A wearable computing device that is secured or attached to a resilient strap, the resilient strap sized to fit around at least a part of a circumference of a human head. The device has a waterproof storage volume housing a plurality of sensors. The wearable computing device may calculate a plurality of swimming metrics based at least partly on data received from the at least one sensor. The wearable computing device may include a wireless communication subsystem secured to the resilient strap within the waterproof storage volume and may transmit at least one of the calculated plurality of swimming metrics to at least one computing device via the wireless communication subsystem. The wearable computing device may include at least one user output component and may present an indication of at least one of the calculated plurality of swimming metrics at the at least one user output component for communication to the user. The indication may be audio played in an ear piece connected to the strap, or may be visually displayed on a display in an eye goggle portion of the strap.
BALANCE BOARD FITNESS TRAINING DEVICE
A balance board fitness training device is provided. The fitness training device may include a deck having a top surface, a bottom surface, and opposing first and second side edges and opposing front and rear longitudinal edges together forming a perimeter of the deck; at least one wheel bracket structure positioned below the deck, the at least one wheel bracket structure rotatably supporting at least two wheels and configured so as to be movable relative to the deck about a pivot line at least partially extending between the opposing first and second side edges of the deck; and at least one resilient damping member connected to the at least one wheel bracket structure and the deck.
