ADJUSTABLE DUMBBELL SYSTEM HAVING A WEIGHT SENSOR
An adjustable dumbbell system having a weight sensor is provided. The adjustable dumbbell system may include a handle assembly, a plurality of weights selectively fixedly connectable to the handle assembly, a sleeve rotatably coupled to the handle assembly, an indexing wheel rotatably coupled to the handle assembly and arranged to rotate with the sleeve, at least one sensor configured to detect the rotational position of the indexing wheel, and a computing device in communication with the at least one sensor. The rotational position of the sleeve may correspond to a different combination of the plurality of weights fixedly connected to the handle assembly. The computing device may be configured to determine the different combination of the plurality of weights fixedly connected to the handle assembly based on the rotational position of the indexing wheel detected by the at least one sensor.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MONITORING AND ANALYZING POSITION, MOTION, AND EQUILIBRIUM OF BODY PARTS
Systems, methods, and computer program products which facilitate the ability of a user to monitor and assess the location of and forces transferred to various joints, muscles, and limbs and their relative positions at each and every moment during normal daily activities, training loads of an exercise, or a competitive or high intensity athletic endeavors, in order to mitigate and reduce the risk of injury as well as to track fitness performance elements are disclosed. In an aspect, systems, methods, and computer program products are disclosed which utilize at least one sensor in order to capture a user's movement information during various tasks and exercises. This movement information may then be analyzed in order to determine quantifiable values for the user's likelihood of experiencing an injury and/or the user's overall fitness, generally. The systems, methods, and computer program products of the present disclosure may also be used to measure a user's neuromuscular efficiency and help the user make improvements thereto.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR VISUAL PEDOMETRY
A system and method for calculating step count and associated physical movement intensity. In some embodiments, the system includes at least a camera to capture video of user motions, which are analyzed, and the corresponding step count and physical exercise intensity are deduced by the disclosed method.
Device for Displaying in Response to a Sensed Motion
A device including a visual or audible signaling means and a motion sensor, and logic for activating or controlling the signaling means in response to a sensed motion according to an embedded logic is disclosed. The device may be used as a toy for amusement, and may be shaped like a play ball or as a handheld unit. The device may be powered from a battery, which may be charged from an AC power directly or contactless by using induction or by converting electrical energy from harvested kinetic energy. The embedded logic may activate or control the signaling means, predictably or randomly, in response to the sensed acceleration magnitude or direction, such as sensing the crossing a preset threshold or sensing the peak value. The visual means may be a numeric display for displaying a value associated with the count of the number of times the threshold has been exceeded or the peak magnitude of the acceleration sensed.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ESTIMATING AND PREDICTING EMOTIONAL STATES AND AFFECTS AND PROVIDING REAL TIME FEEDBACK
Systems and methods for estimating emotional states, moods, affects of an individual and providing feedback to the individual or others are disclosed. Systems and methods that provide real time detection and monitoring of physical aspects of an individual and/or aspects of the individual's activity and means of estimating that person's emotional state or affect and change to those are also disclosed. Real time feedback to the individual about the person's emotional change, change or potential change is provided to the user, helping the user cope, adjust or appropriately act on their emotions.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ALLOWING MULTIPLE USERS TO COEXIST IN THE SAME VIRTUAL SPACE IN A SIMULATED ENVIRONMENT
A system and method are disclosed for creating a simulation that utilizes Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) to enable at least two persons to occupy the same space in a virtual environment. The system and method allow for the use of existing real world devices (e.g., sports equipment), also displaying the real world devices in both AR and VR modes in the same space in a virtual environment. By coexisting in the same virtual space in the simulated environment, a student can literally see the exact stance and movement (e.g., golf swing) of a collocated instructor or coach from his or her own perspective.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING 3D POSITIONAL COORDINATES OF A BALL
A system includes a camera capturing images in a first field of view of a sports ball bouncing and rolling, a storage arrangement, and a processing arrangement. The storage arrangement includes a three-dimensional 3D model of a part of a sports play area and the processing arrangement is configured to: detect a pixel location of a ball in an image; determine, based on intrinsic and extrinsic calibration parameters, a camera-ball line comprising a straight line passing through the camera in the direction of the sports ball and to determine, based on the 3D model, an intersection point of the camera-ball line with the 3D model. The processor outputs the intersection point as a 3D position of the ball in the image.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INTEGRATING MEASUREMENTS CAPTURED DURING A GOLF SWING
The present embodiments provide systems and methods for aggregating measurements captured by different technologies during a golf swing. By capturing measurements using different technologies, more accurate measurements may be provided to a user by selecting from the measurements, offsetting measurements based on the technologies used, and aligning measurements between devices. Further, by aggregating measurements received from different devices, additional features and functionality may be provided to the user that is absent from any one device used alone. Additionally, by storing the aggregated measurements, users, club fitters and instructors may access and leverage larger databases of measurements to better understand the user's golf swing and to provide better recommendations and instruction to the user.
BASKETBALL SHOOTING SYSTEM
Apparatuses, methods, systems, and program products are disclosed for a basketball shooting system. An apparatus includes a frame, at least one rail coupled to the frame, a sled movably connected to the at least one rail and configured to move along a first axis in a z-direction, a shaft connected to the sled in a perpendicular orientation relative to the at least one rail and configured to rotate at least 180 degrees about a rotational axis in a vertical plane defined by a second axis perpendicular to the first axis, a backboard connected to the sled and configured move along the shaft in the vertical plane in a y-direction, and a basketball hoop connected to the backboard.
