Detecting the end of hiking activities on a wearable device
Disclosed embodiments include wearable devices and techniques for detecting the end of hiking activities. By accurately and promptly detecting the end of hiking activities automatically, the disclosure enables wearable devices to accurately calculate user performance information when users forget to start and/or stop recording a hiking activity.
Grip force estimation device and grip force estimation method
A grip force estimation device includes a sensor that is attached to sports equipment including a columnar portion having a grip portion at one end and a hitting portion connected to the columnar portion and is attached not at the grip portion but at the columnar portion, and that is configured to detect at least one of bending and twisting of the sports equipment and output detected bending and/or twisting as a sensor signal, a feature data extraction unit configured to extract feature data including a feature when a waveform generated by the hitting portion being externally applied with pressure is attenuated by using the sensor signal, and a grip force estimation unit configured to estimate pressure applied to the grip portion by using the feature data.
Method and system for signal processing rehabilitation exercise signals
The present disclosure relates to method and system for signal processing rehabilitation exercise signals. The method comprises the step of receiving a first and a second motion signals associated with movements of a body part, wherein the motion signals comprise temporal data of the movements. The method further comprises the step of segmenting each of the first and second motion signals into a plurality of segmented signals based on gradients of the motion signals, wherein each segmented signal has consistent gradient. The method further comprises the step of automatically modifying the segmented signals to form multiple combinations of matching signals with similar gradients between the first and second motion signals, such that the first and second motion signals are in one-to-one correspondence. The method further comprises the step of extracting corresponding time intervals of the matching signals in the correspondences.
Systems and methods for tracking and reporting climbing progress
A system for tracking a user's progress through a climb. The system including a transmitter that wirelessly transmits a user identification (user ID), a scanning device that receives the wirelessly transmitted user ID and communicates climb data comprising the user ID and a route climb identifier to at least one server device comprising instructions to cause the least one server device and related data processing and storage apparatus to operate to store the climb data, and wherein the server device further comprises instructions to enable communication of the stored climb data to a user device.
Porter Boxing System
A training system that teaches all aspects of boxing that a student should know. The system provides a method of notification to assist student boxers in learning how to properly position their feet legs and lower body, and how to maintain control of the ring while maneuvering an opponent into a position where they can be defeated. The invention improves on conventional training with a system that provides immediate feedback during footwork drills in combination with cones that train a boxer in the best position for their lower body during training, such that they instinctively position their feet and lower body during actual subsequent boxing matches. The system also teaches students how to control the ring and maneuver opponents into desired locations in the ring.
GOLF CLUB HAVING IMPACT SENSOR
A golf club head includes a first impact sensor that is fixed to a toe-side interior surface of the golf club head opposite the curved strike face and located on a toeward side of the golf club head, and a second impact sensor that is fixed to a heel-side interior surface of the golf club head opposite the curved strike face and located on a heelward side of the golf club head. The golf club head further includes an electronic controller, fixed to the golf club head and electrically coupled with the first and second impact sensors, and a battery, fixed to the golf club head and electrically coupled with the electronic controller to supply electrical power to the electronic controller. The electronic controller is configured to communicate impact data received from the first and second impact sensors to an external computing device.
Apparatus, System, and Method of Testing and Improving Balance
A method, system, and/or apparatus for measuring user balance with sensors of a mobile device such as a mobile phone or wearable while showing a video or animation coaching various balance exercises. A filter can be utilized to merge accelerometer and gyroscope data to reduce noise. A quaternion-based orientation pipeline can compute the device's pitch, roll, and overall orientation. The system can calculate stability scores by measuring factors such as variance or root-mean-square of pitch and roll fluctuations, acceleration magnitudes, and/or jerk/fall events. If the user experiences sudden/large movements, the system penalizes the user's score to discourage risky behavior. The user may be asked to stand in a baseline posture to measure typical involuntary arm tremor, truncal instability, or normal minimal device motion, which is used to normalize subsequent balance measurements. The system gamifies the experience by providing real-time feedback and awarding points, achievements, and an overall score.
Green information measuring system and green information measuring method
An embodiment of the present invention provides a green information measuring system, including: a first device configured to measure an electrical characteristic of soil through at least one electrode when a first condition is satisfied; and a second device configured to receive soil information of the soil from the first device and to transmit the soil information to a server when a second condition is satisfied.
SWING MOTION TRAINER
A swing motion trainer used to simulate one or more sport swing movements includes a rod portion comprising a shaft with a grip. The swing motion trainer includes a resistance portion comprising an interchangeable mechanism at a distal end of the rod portion, the resistance portion includes an interchangeable mechanism at the distal end of the rod portion, wherein the interchangeable mechanism is configured to attach a removable resistance element to the distal end of the rod portion. The removable resistance element that is attachable to the distal end of the rod portion via the interchangeable mechanism. The removable resistance element provides a resistance to a swinging motion of the swing motion trainer.
Tennis playing robotic device
Provided is a system for robotic collaboration. A first robotic device executes a first action and a second robotic device executes a second action upon the first robotic device completing the first action. An application of a communication device is paired with the first robotic device and the second robotic device. The application is configured to receive at least one input designating, for example, a hitting speed of a tennis ball, a hitting direction of a tennis ball, a unique tag of a subarea in a map of an environment, a task schedule of the first robotic or second robotic device, a driving speed, a selection of a particular user profile, an instruction to drive to a user-identified location, an instruction to turn in a left or right direction, an instruction to drive forwards or backwards, an instruction to stop moving, etc.
