Computer-implemented questionnaire for orthopedic treatment
A system for physical rehabilitation comprises a clinician interface including a patient profile display presenting data regarding performance of a regimen for a body part. A patient interface presents instructions and status information regarding the performance of the regimen. The patient interface further presents a questionnaire soliciting responses to questions pertaining to current and past physical conditions of the patient. Selected responses to the questions cause the system to take actions, including preventing operation of a treatment apparatus by the patient, and/or transmitting an alert message to a clinician. The alert message may be transmitted within the clinician interface and/or as a real-time message outside of the clinician interface. A questionnaire is presented to the patient in response to occurrence of a triggering event pertaining to the patient's use of the treatment apparatus.
Adjustable laser and sensor paired system for replicating or creating a swing path
An adjustable laser-sensor paired system for creating or replicating a desired swing form includes a laser device and a sensor device. The laser device has a laser which emits a laser beam and a mounting device which attaches the laser device to an object. The orientation of the laser is adjustable. The sensor device has an optical linear position sensor for detecting the laser beam of the laser device and a display with LEDs for providing feedback and user interface. With the system and method, one or more checkpoints for the form of a desired swing can be created at a selected point in the swing path, which may then be used as practice reference guides to check whether the user is correctly replicating the desired swing.
PLAY EXPERIENCE SYSTEM AND PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT STATUS ACQUISITION METHOD USING SAME
The disclosure of the present invention relates to a play experience system and a physical development status acquisition method using the same, which can precisely measure physical development items of users including children and juveniles by using play-type experience devices, and can acquire experience data based physical development status by analyzing a correlation between an experience instrument itself and the physical development item.
SWIM AR GOGGLES
Swimming goggles have a left-eye covering and a right-eye covering, each having a corresponding transparent window that defines a field of view and each further having a seal extending between the transparent window and the swimmer's face and formed to exclude water. A near-eye display is in signal communication with an image processor and forms a virtual image in the left- or right-eye field of view.
Hinged arm muscle exercise device
In one example, a muscle exercise device includes a first arm, a second arm rotatably connected to the first arm, and the second arm and first arm configured to cooperatively define a recess. The muscle exercise device also includes a resistance element configured to reside in the recess and be compressed between the first arm and the second arm, and a wireless transmitter disposed in either the first arm or the second arm, wherein the wireless transmitter is responsive to communications from an app residing on a user device.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TARGETED NEUROLOGICAL THERAPY USING BRAINWAVE ENTRAINMENT WITH PASSIVE TREATMENT
A system and method for targeted neurological treatment using brainwave entrainment therapy with passive treatment that allows for targeted treatment of particular areas of the brain, particular neurological functions, particular neurological states, and combinations of areas, functions, and states. The system and method receive gait parameters for an individual and compare those against a database of historical gait data to determine if an onset neurodegenerative condition is present, and applies a brainwave entrainment therapy responsive to the determination of the condition. The system and method receive a neurological assessment identifying areas of the brain or neurological functions to be treated, select one or more treatment modalities and frequencies, select a treatment regimen, and apply brainwave entrainment using a treatment regimen while the subject engages in dual-task activities selected to stimulate the areas of the brain, neurological functions, or neurological states to be treated, enhanced, or altered.
Systems, methods, and computer program product for smart relay race training with relay baton exchange tracking
A system that includes an electronic baton device with motion and capacitive sensors. The system includes a processor and non-tangible computer readable media having stored programming instructions thereon that, when executed, cause the processor to receive sensor data from the motion and capacitive sensors, and determine an exchange zone to exchange the baton device between an incoming runner and an outgoing runner of a relay, based on the sensor data. The processor determines relay race metrics for each athlete of the relay team, baton metrics associated with each athlete, a usage efficiency in the exchange zone, and a baton transition metrics. The processor selectively displays on a display device the relay race metrics for each athlete, the determined baton metrics, the determined usage efficiency in the exchange zone, and the determined baton transition metrics in one or more selected graphical user interfaces.
Automatic Detection and Quantification of Swimming
A wearable device for tracking swim activities of a user is provided. The wearable device may include one or more sensors configured to generate sensor data, and based on the sensor data, the wearable device may determine swim metrics such as swim stroke count, swim stroke type, swim lap count, and swim speed. The determined swim metrics may be filtered based on one or more swim periods during which the user is likely to have been swimming. The wearable device may determine such swim periods based on the sensor data and/or the determined swim metrics.
METHOD FOR MEASURING EFFECTIVENESS OF PERIODIC MOTION
A solution for estimating effectiveness of periodic motion during a physical exercise. such as a running exercise, is disclosed. According to an aspect, a computer-implemented method for estimating the effectiveness of the periodic motion includes: measuring, by using at least one motion sensor, periodic motion of a user, and thus acquiring motion measurement data during a time interval of a physical exercise; transforming the motion measurement data into frequency-domain samples; extracting, amongst the frequency-domain samples by using peak detection, a first subset of frequency-domain samples representing periodic motion; computing a metric indicating a ratio between energy on the first subset of frequency domain samples and energy on other frequency domain samples; and mapping the computed ratio to an effectiveness parameter by using a determined mapping rule and outputting the effectiveness parameter via an interface.
Electromechanical Exercise Machine
An electro-mechanical displacement exercise apparatus for processing a maximum force potential of an athlete, including a frame a frame including a platform, wherein a section of the platform is connected to a tower, whereby the tower houses control means for manipulating a tension supporting member connected to a force bearing member, a first pull location, whereby the first pull location is positioned on the platform and within the frame and whereby the first pull location is operatively connected with a portion of the tension supporting member, whereby a user may exert a force on the tension supporting member operatively connected to a first actuator; and wherein the first actuator is housed within the tower, and whereby the first actuator includes a motor coupled to a gearbox.
