Exercise apparatus
A body exercise apparatus comprising: a torso band; at least one first protuberance member disposed on the torso band; an appendage band; at least one second protuberance member disposed on the appendage band; at least one first sensor associated with the torso band; at least one second sensor associated with the appendage band; at least one resistance cable having one end removably attached between the at least one first protuberance member and the at least one second protuberance member.
Device for safely strengthening core muscles
Systems and methods herein provide for safe and efficient strengthening of core muscles of a user. An example device can include various components for securing a user in a safe position, tilting the body of the user, and rotating the user in a manner that engages the desired muscle groups. The device can include electronically controlled actuators and/or electric motors for performing various motions associated with the user. A control unit can gather information regarding the user and the device to provide helpful information to the user or a caretaker. For example, the control unit can track progress over time, suggest the types and intensities of exercises for individual users, and prepare reports suitable for use in medical or insurance contexts.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR BICYCLE FITTING
A method for bicycle fitting includes receiving evaluation factors based on one or more scenario parameters; positioning at least one of a saddle and a handlebar to one or more positions when a user is pedaling; determining values for the evaluation factors according to data received from one or more sensors at the one or more positions; and processing the values to identify one or more recommended positions for the saddle or the handlebar.
Method and system for monitoring cardiac arrest during a physical exercise of a user and consequent activation of a rescue request
A method monitors cardiac arrest during physical exercise and consequently activates a rescue request. The method continuously measures a user's heart rate to determine a heart rate in a sequence of predetermined time intervals, by a heart rate measurement device worn by the user; then, generating a signal representative of the heart rate detected in each interval. A motion sensor detects a user's motion condition and generates a motion signal representative of the motion detected. A portable processor receives the heart rate signal and communicates with the heart rate measurement device and with the motion sensor; then processes the signal representative of heart rate, to recognize a possible cardiac arrest condition. The processor processes the motion signal to detect a possible stillness condition. The processor activates a rescue request if both a cardiac arrest condition and a stillness condition have been recognized. A system executes the method.
METHOD OF SCORING A MOTION OF A USER AND SYSTEM THEREOF
The presently disclosed subject matter includes a computerized method and system for providing a total score on a motion of a user. More specifically, the proposed technique obtain motion data, process the motion data and provide a total quality score for the motion of the user with respect to a designated target motion.
Adaptive athletic activity prescription systems
Systems and methods for prescribing athletic activity to be performed by a user, and for adapting the prescribed athletic activity based on completed (e.g. ongoing) athletic performances by the user. A coaching plan may be automatically created that prescribes personalized athletic activities as a user trains towards a goal date. The athletic information may be received from one or more sensor devices associated with a user, and the coaching plan may be continuously or intermittently updated based on the received sensor data.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ESTIMATING AND PREDICTING EMOTIONAL STATES AND AFFECTS AND PROVIDING REAL TIME FEEDBACK
Systems and methods for estimating emotional states, moods, affects of an individual and providing feedback to the individual or others are disclosed. Systems and methods that provide real time detection and monitoring of physical aspects of an individual and/or aspects of the individual's activity and means of estimating that person's emotional state or affect and change to those are also disclosed. Real time feedback to the individual about the person's emotional change, change or potential change is provided to the user, helping the user cope, adjust or appropriately act on their emotions.
SMART ELECTRONIC WRIST DEVICE WORN BY HUMAN SUBJECTS FOR WIRELESS HEART RATE MONITORING IN REAL-TIME
Embodiments herein describe a wristband for securing a smart electronic wrist device to the human subject. A heart rate sensor, coupled to the wristband of one embodiment, attaches to the human subject, and to generate electronic signals responsive to the heart rate of the human subject. An analog to digital signal converting circuit (ADC), electronically coupled to the heart rate sensor, to receive electrical signals generated by the heart rate sensor. A digital signal encoding circuit, electronically coupled to the ADC, to convert the electrical signals to data signals. A wireless communication interface to transmit the digital signals wirelessly to a handheld phone call device. The handheld cellular device includes a physiological processor for analysis of the data signals concerning the heart rate of the human subject.
TWO-ENVIRONMENT GAME PLAY SYSTEM
A game-play environment includes a tee box, a range surface, and a monitor. The tee box is configured to permit a player to hit a golf ball onto the range surface. The range surface has a plurality of physical markers. The monitor depicts a virtual environment that includes a plurality of virtual components. Some of the virtual components are visual cues that correspond to the physical markers. A player can play the game by targeting the appropriate physical marker that corresponds to the desired visual cue.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ATHLETIC MOTION ANALYSIS AND INSTRUCTION
A system and method for analyzing and improving the performance of a body motion of an animal or human subject requires instrumenting a subject with inertial sensors, monitoring a body motion of interest, converting sensor data into motion data and animation, comparing the motion data with existing data for motion related performance parameters, providing a real-time, information rich, animation and data display of the results in color coded displays; and based on the results prescribing a training regime with exercises selected from a library of standardized exercises using standardized tools and training aids.
