METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING KINESTHETIC AWARENESS
A method and system for monitoring physiological movements and providing feedback to increase a user's kinesthetic awareness utilizes a kinesthetic awareness tool that includes a plurality of sensors, a processing unit, and a plurality of feedback devices. The plurality of sensors is used to gather data as a set of reference data and in real-time as a user engages in a training session. The plurality of sensors may include an accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, and ultrasonic range finder. Data obtained during the training session is processed in real-time by the processing unit and compared to the set of reference data. The processing device may then instruct one or more of the plurality of feedback devices to produce a response signal to guide the user to the correct position. The plurality of feedback devices may be configured to provide acoustic, visual, haptic, or kinetic feedback.
Information processing device
An information processing device includes a first member that includes a substantially plate-shaped casing and a predetermined detection unit, a second member that includes a substantially plate-shaped casing and that holds a battery inside the second member, and a connection unit that includes an elastic body and connects a part of an outer circumferential end surface of the first member to a part of an outer circumferential end surface of the second member such that a surface direction of one surface of the first member substantially matches a surface direction of one surface of the second member. The information processing device is worn on a predetermined body part such that the one surface of the first member and the one surface of the second member are located on a side of the body part.
GOLF CLUB HEADS
Some disclosed golf club heads include body having at least one raised sole portion and a cantilevered ledge extending down around a perimeter of the club head below the level of the raised sole portion. Some disclosed golf club heads include one or more sole openings in the body and a sole insert that is mounted inside the body over the sole openings. The sole can include weight tracks as well, and a rear weight track can extend between a toe side sole opening and a heel side sole opening. A crown insert can also be included that is mounted over an upper opening in the body.
Infrared hockey puck and goal detection system
The two-part system includes a modified hockey puck and a set of goal units that can be mounted on a hockey goal. Within the puck are light sources, motion sensors, infrared transmitters, and a power source. Within the goal units are light sources, infrared sensors, and a microcontroller. When the goal units are mounted on the hockey goal, the infrared sensors form a detection area through which the puck must pass in order to count as a goal. The infrared transmitter of the puck and the infrared sensors of the goal units communicate with one another, and when an infrared signal is received the microcontroller triggers the light sources mounted to the goal to illuminate and indicate that a goal has been scored. Additionally, both the puck and the goal units are designed to reduce power consumption by switching between a low-energy mode or an active mode of operation.
Intelligent system and apparatus providing physical activity feedback
This document presents a system and method for using an intelligent belt and a remote secondary sensor to obtain instantaneous feedback during the performance of physical activities. A remote secondary sensor may be attached to a conveyance associated with, and in use by, a user. The intelligent belt uses a position sensor, such as a 3-axis accelerometer, to monitor the movements of a user and a conveyance such as an athletic apparatus, or any other apparatus upon which a user may stand, move, or with which the user may be associated. The belt is capable of determining when certain physical activities are not being performed properly in comparison to a preferred and pre-configured performance, and can provide real-time feedback using visual, aural, haptic, and other feedback mechanisms.
Device and method for monitoring exercise performance
A device and method for monitoring exercise performance and configured to be worn on a limb of a user. The device includes a position determining module configured to generate position data for a present exercise session of the user utilizing one or more signals; a motion sensor configured to detect motion of the device and generate motion data; and a processor. The processor is operable to calculate at least one of speed, pace, and distance of the device; calculate a limb motion of the user to obtain limb motion data throughout the present exercise session; determine whether an inaccurate interval is present during the present exercise session; obtain a matching interval; and replace at least one of the speed, pace, and distance data during the inaccurate interval with a corresponding at least one of speed, pace, and distance data of the matching interval.
PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE OF EXERCISE MACHINES WITH TIME-OF-FLIGHT SENSORS
A monitoring device performs a method of detecting a need for maintenance of an exercise machine comprising a time-of-flight, ToF, sensor. The method comprises obtaining a measurement signal from the ToF sensor at a predefined operating condition of the exercise machine. Based on the measurement signal, the method determines a measured distance between the ToF sensor and a reflective element in the exercise machine. The measured distance has been found to be responsive to accumulation of deposits on the ToF sensor and is thus evaluated by the method to detect a need for cleaning. The method thereby enables preventive maintenance.
BALANCE TRAINING METHOD USING WEARABLE DEVICE AND THE WEARABLE DEVICE
A balance training method using a wearable device, and the wearable device are disclosed. The balance training method using the wearable device configured to provide a walking assist function includes executing a balance training mode of the wearable device and supplying an irregular pattern torque to an actuator of the wearable device at a time point or in a time period in the balance training mode.
Blood Flow Analysis Device, Blood Flow Analysis Program, and Blood Flow Analysis System
The present invention aims to provide a blood flow analysis device capable of accurately identifying a change in the blood flow in a muscle caused by resistance exercise performed by a subject. A blood flow analysis device according to the present invention specifies a resistance exercise period during which a muscle of a subject present at a position to be measured by a motion sensor is performing a resistance exercise, and analyzes a light detection signal in the resistance exercise period, to thereby calculate a feature amount of a change in the blood flow in the muscle of the subject in the resistance exercise period (see FIG. 1).
Exercise device
A multipurpose exercise device having a base that rests on a support surface and a user platform upon which the user stands. The lower end of a perpendicular support post is mounted to the base to axially pivot thereon and the upper end of the post is pivotally mounted to the lower surface of the user platform. The user platform pivots with the support post in a horizontal plane parallel to the support surface and pivots on the support post in a vertical plane perpendicular to the horizontal support surface. Resistance elements are provided having one end mounted to the support post and the other end mounted to the base to control the velocity and angle of pivot of the user platform in the horizontal plane. Preferably, a plurality of resistance elements are provided having one end mounted to the base and the other end mounted to the user platform to control the velocity and angle of pivot of the user platform in the vertical plane. In use, the user stands on the user platform and performs exercise motions to propel the user platform to pivot in the horizontal plane and the vertical plane.
