SURGICAL STAPLING INSTRUMENT HAVING A RELEASABLE BUTTRESS MATERIAL
A surgical stapler including an anvil, a staple cartridge, and a buttress material removably retained to the anvil and/or staple cartridge. In various embodiments, the staple cartridge can include at least one staple removably stored therein which can, when deployed, or fired, therefrom, contact the buttress material and remove the buttress material from the anvil and/or staple cartridge. In at least one embodiment, the anvil can include at least one lip and/or groove configured to removably retain the buttress material to the anvil until deformable members extending from the surgical staple are bent by the anvil and are directed toward and contact the buttress material.
Exhaust flap for an exhaust system of a motor vehicle, controller for such an exhaust flap, and method for operating such an exhaust flap
An exhaust flap for an exhaust system of a motor vehicle, which has an internal combustion engine and an electronic processing device for a closed-loop control of the internal combustion engine, has a valve element, an actuator for moving the valve element, and a dedicated electronic processing device. The dedicated electronic processing device is configured to receive a first signal which is provided by the electronic processing device of the motor vehicle and which characterizes a first position of the valve element, generate a second signal which characterizes a second position of the valve element as a function of the received first signal, and transmit the second signal to the actuator. The actuator moves the valve element into the second position based on the received second signal.
VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM
A control system for a vehicle is provided, which includes a driving force source configured to generate torque for driving drive wheels, a steering angle related value sensor configured to detect a steering angle related value of a steering device, and a controller configured to control the torque to control the vehicle attitude based on the steering angle related value. The controller acquires a current traveling mode defining a response of acceleration or deceleration of the vehicle to an accelerator pedal operation. Based on the steering angle related value, when determined that a turning operation of the steering device in one direction is performed, the controller performs a torque decreasing control to add deceleration to the vehicle. When the acquired traveling mode is a high response traveling mode, the controller increases a reduction amount of the torque in the torque decreasing control more than in a low response traveling mode.
ADJUSTABLE PERFORMANCE FOR A VEHICLE
A recreational vehicle includes a seatbelt sensor configured to detect when a seatbelt is in an engaged position or a disengaged position and an engine control module in communication with the seatbelt sensor to automatically limit a maximum speed of the vehicle to a reduced maximum speed limit upon detection of the seatbelt is in the disengaged position.
ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM FOR ENABLING MULTI-MODE DRIVABILITY IN OFF-ROAD VEHICLES
The present disclosure envisages an engine control system (100) that enables multi-mode drivability in off-road vehicles. The system (100) comprises a mode selection device (101) and an electronic control unit (ECU) (104). The mode selection device (101) is configured to receive an input from an operator for selection of at least one mode of engine operation, and to generate a mode selection signal corresponding to the input. The electronic control unit (ECU) (104) is communicatively coupled with the mode selection device (101) to receive the mode selection signal and generate at least one control signal. The electronic control unit (ECU) (104) is further configured to control a fuel injection system (106) of the vehicle based on the selected mode according to the load requirement, thereby facilitating multi-mode drivability. The system (100) allows a vehicle to operate in different operating modes as per terrain conditions.
System, method and apparatus for engine control
System, method, and apparatus for controlling performance of an engine in response to a set of outputs from a device to an engine control unit. The engine control unit receives profile parameters that are related to outputs of the device. The engine control unit engages a high performance functionality in response to a first signal. The engine control unit engages a high idle functionality in response to a second signal.
Engine warm-up bypass control
An engine controller to control a plurality of engines is disclosed. The engine controller may determine that power to a load is to be increased, wherein the load is configured to be powered by one or more of the plurality of engines; determine that an engine, of the plurality of engines, is configured to provide supplemental power to the load after a temperature of the engine satisfies a threshold, wherein the threshold corresponds to a warm-up operation of the engine being completed; determine that the temperature of the engine does not satisfy the threshold; obtain, via an operator interface, an authorization to bypass the warm-up operation of the engine; and bypass, based on obtaining the authorization, the warm-up operation for the engine to permit the engine to provide instantaneous power to the load.
Electronic throttle control
A recreational vehicle includes a seatbelt sensor configured to detect when a seatbelt is in an engaged position or a disengaged position and an engine control module in communication with the seatbelt sensor to automatically limit a maximum speed of the vehicle to a reduced maximum speed limit upon detection of the seatbelt is in the disengaged position.
Staple cartridge having staple cavities extending at a transverse angle relative to a longitudinal cartridge axis
