Method for planning a vehicle diagnosis
A method for planning a vehicle diagnosis in a vehicle includes: estimation of an operating characteristic of the vehicle on a route to be traveled by the vehicle; and planning of the vehicle diagnosis based on a probability that the estimated operating characteristic of the vehicle will correspond to an operating characteristic suitable for the vehicle diagnosis.
System and method of vehicle transient torque management
A system for establishing a torque limit for a vehicle is provided. The system uses impending terrain and speed conditions to determine an optimum torque, which improves engine efficiency and reduces fuel consumption.
Method and device for operating a vehicle
The invention relates to a method for operating a vehicle with a drive device (20) which has at least one internal combustion engine (21) as a drive machine, wherein a drive torque requested by a driver of the vehicle (1) is implemented by operating at least the internal combustion engine (21) on a roadway (2), comprising the following steps: a) Monitoring the roadway (2) for road users (3) travelling ahead, by means of a surroundings sensor system (5), b) Monitoring a driver of the vehicle (1) by means of a state sensor system (8) with respect to his request to carry out an overtaking process in order to overtake a detected road user (3) travelling ahead, and if a request to carry out an overtaking process has been detected, c) Actuating the drive device (20) to prepare the overtaking process in such a way that before the overtaking process is carried out a torque reserve of the internal combustion engine (21) is built up.
TORQUE ESTIMATION DEVICE
A control device serving as a torque estimation device includes a storage device and a processing circuit. The storage device stores data of a trained neural network. The trained neural network is trained using training data including data of an actually-measured torque that is measured, data of an accelerator operation amount in a period of a predetermined length up to a time point of measurement of the actually-measured torque, and data of an acceleration of a vehicle from the time point of measurement of the actually-measured torque onward. The processing circuit inputs, to the trained neural network stored in the storage device, input data including the data of the accelerator operation amount and the data of the acceleration of the vehicle, to estimate a torque generated in a power transmission member.
Control system for work vehicle, control method, and work vehicle
A control system for a work vehicle includes an acceleration detection device and a controller. The acceleration detection device detects an acceleration of the work vehicle. The controller determines whether the acceleration is greater than a first threshold and reduces the a vehicle speed when the acceleration continues to be equal to or greater than the first threshold over a predetermined first determination time period.
SMART TRAILER CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM
Methods and systems are provided for classification of the type and weight of a trailer being towed by a vehicle. The classification is based on a comparison between a real-time road gradient as determined by the vehicle system and an expected road gradient as determined from an off-board or an onboard map. Vehicle operations may be adjusted based on the classification of the attached trailer.
Turbocharger system
A turbocharger system for simultaneously improving a fuel efficiency and obtaining a satisfactory hill start performance due to a downsized engine. The system includes an electric assist turbocharger which includes a turbine disposed in an exhaust passage of an engine and driven by exhaust gas, a compressor disposed in an intake passage and driven by a rotational torque of the turbine, and an electric motor assisting a driving force of the compressor and an electric motor control unit which drives the electric motor when detecting a start operation at a sloping road.
State detection system for internal combustion engine, data analysis device, and vehicle
A state detection system for an internal combustion engine is provided. Rotation waveform variables include information on a difference between cylinders in the rotational speed of a crankshaft during periods in which the respective cylinders generate combustion torque. An obtainment process obtains a value of the rotation waveform variables and a value of a road surface state variable based on an output of a sensor that detects a state of the road surface. A selection process selects, from a plurality of types of mapping data stored in the storage device, the mapping data that is associated with the road surface state variable as the detection mapping. A determination process determines whether the engine is in a predetermined operating state based on an output value of the selected detection mapping that takes the rotation waveform variables as inputs.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR ADJUSTING ENGINE OPERATION BASED ON WEATHER DATA
Methods and systems are provided for adjusting engine operation based on wirelessly received weather data in conjunction with engine sensor outputs. In one example, a method may comprise receiving a first measurement of a weather parameter from one or more engine sensors and a second measurement of the weather parameter from weather data, the weather data provided by a wireless weather service. The method may further comprise determining accuracies for the first and second measurements, generating an estimate of the weather parameter based on the accuracies of the first and second measurements, and adjusting at least one engine operating parameter based on the generated estimate.
ROUGH TERRAIN VEHICLE
In a rough terrain vehicle, at a time of preparing to start movement, in a case that a left paddle switch and a right paddle switch are operated together with an accelerator pedal, an ECU disengages a clutch of an automatic transmission, and causes an output of an engine to increase. On the other hand, at a time of starting movement, in a case that the left paddle switch and the right paddle switch are returned to their initial positions, the ECU engages the clutch and transmits the output of the engine from the engine to vehicle wheels via the automatic transmission, to thereby rapidly start movement of the rough terrain vehicle.
