A cylinder head assembly includes a cylinder head casting, and an injector sleeve within an injector bore in the cylinder head casting. The injector sleeve includes a first sleeve end, and an injector clamping surface formed by an inner sleeve surface adjacent to a cylindrical second sleeve end. The injector sleeve further includes a sleeve clamping surface in contact with an upward facing middle deck surface of the cylinder head casting, and a reaction wall extending between the injector clamping surface and the sleeve clamping surface to transfer an injector clamping load to the upward facing middle deck surface.
ENGINE
Provided is an engine with a starter valve arranged in a compact space and with a cylinder head having a cooling water passage and a starter valve feeding compressed air to a combustion chamber. The starter valve is arranged parallel in the axial direction to a cylinder while fitted into a sleeve, and a portion of the cooling water passage is formed by the outer surface of the sleeve fitted into a starter valve insertion hole formed in the cylinder head. A starting air passage orthogonal to the axial direction of the starter valve insertion hole is formed in the cylinder head, and a portion of the wall surface of the starting air passage is formed by the end surface on one side of the sleeve.
GAS-LIQUID SEPARATION DEVICE FOR BLOW-BY GAS IN ENGINE
A gas-liquid separation device includes a gas-liquid separation chamber in a head cover that defines a valve gear chamber, a partition wall that changes a direction of blow-by gas that flows in the gas-liquid separation chamber, and a blow-by gas suction passage extending from the gas-liquid separation chamber to an intake-side valve gear chamber. The upstream end of the blow-by gas suction passage defines an opening in a vicinity of a bottom wall of the valve gear chamber (intake-side valve gear chamber). The gas-liquid separation device removes an oil mist in the blow-by gas while using a compact and simple gas-liquid separation structure.

ENGINE VARIABLE CHARGE MOTION SYSTEM
Methods and systems are provided for introducing a charge motion to a cylinder via a protrusion system coupled to an intake port of an engine. In one example, a system may include positioning a tongue from inside a spring-loaded casing to extend into air intake runner, generating desired tumble and swirl along an intake port proximate to an engine cylinder.
Internal combustion engine with turbocharger
An internal combustion engine with a turbocharger according to an embodiment includes a cylinder block internally including a plurality of cylinders, a cylinder head disposed on top of the cylinder block, and internally including a plurality of exhaust flow passages through which exhaust air discharged from each of the plurality of cylinders flows, and the turbocharger including a rotational shaft, a turbine wheel, and a compressor wheel, the turbine wheel being disposed at one end of the rotational shaft, the compressor wheel being disposed at the other end of the rotational shaft. At least the turbine wheel of the turbocharger is arranged inside the cylinder head. The cylinder head internally includes a plurality of scroll passages for introducing the exhaust air flowing through the plurality of exhaust flow passages to the turbine wheel, the plurality of scroll passages including a first scroll passage for introducing the exhaust air from a first range in a circumferential direction of the turbine wheel to the turbine wheel, and a second scroll passage for introducing the exhaust air from a second range, which is different from the first range in the circumferential direction of the turbine wheel, to the turbine wheel.
Gas intake device comprising an oriented masking element
The present invention relates to a gas inlet device (1) for a cylinder of an internal combustion engine. The gas inlet device (1) comprises an inlet port (5), an inlet valve (4), a calibration (6) of the inlet valve (4), means for forming a tumble-type aerodynamic movement of the gas in the cylinder, and a mask (10). Furthermore, the intersection (7) between the inlet port (5) and the calibration (6) is along a straight line not parallel to the plane of the firing face (FF). In addition, the mask (10) is oriented in the same way as the end of the inlet port (5).
Internal combustion engine
An internal combustion engine includes a plurality of cylinders, each of which two intake valves and two exhaust valves, respectively arranged in a valve mount of a cylinder head of the internal combustion engine as well as a coolant distributing chamber and a coolant accumulating chamber being associated to. For each cylinder two coolant ducts are formed in the cylinder head and each is fluidly connected to the corresponding coolant distributing chamber and the corresponding coolant accumulating chamber. A first one of the coolant ducts on a first side extends about a first one of the intake valves and on a second side opposite the first side about a first one of the exhaust valves, and a second one of the coolant ducts extends on the first side about a second one of the intake valves and on the second side about a second one of the exhaust valves.
