This blow-by gas discharging device is provided with: a blow-by gas pipe 23 that extends from the upper end height position to the lower end height position of an internal combustion engine 1 and that has an outlet 33 exposed to outside air and opened to the atmosphere; a heating chamber 24 that is provided to the midway of the blow-by gas pipe, and formed in a flywheel housing 10 of the internal combustion engine so as to heat a blow-by gas; and a drain mechanism that is provided to the heating chamber so as to discharge oil accumulated in the heating chamber.

Engine Device

An engine device including a cylinder block having one side portion to which a flywheel that is rotated integrally with a crankshaft is disposed. The engine device is provided with a starter that transmits a rotational force to the flywheel at a time of engine start. A flywheel housing, which accommodates the flywheel and includes a starter attachment pedestal for attaching the starter, is attached to the one side portion of the cylinder block. The starter is disposed inner side of the engine than a portion of the flywheel housing, the portion being located outermost in the engine with respect to a direction that is perpendicular to a direction along a crankshaft center and that is parallel to the cylinder head joining surface of the cylinder block.

A front cover (7) is made of a resin material such as a synthetic resin and is attached to an internal combustion engine body so as to cover the front surface of the internal combustion engine body. The front cover (7) is formed with a mounting part (21) made of a resin material and protruding to the forward side of an internal combustion engine. The mounting part (21) is formed in an elongated hollow shape along the cylinder axial direction of the internal combustion engine. The mounting part (21) is equipped with a vehicle body attachment part (23) for attaching the internal combustion engine to a vehicle body. The vehicle body attachment part (23) is formed integrally with the mounting part (21). It is thereby possible to reduce the weight and number of components of the internal combustion engine.

COVER FOR INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

A cover for an internal combustion engine is configured to be attached to an engine main body so as to cover a timing chain or a timing belt. The cover for the internal combustion engine includes insertion holes configured to receive a crankshaft or a camshaft. The cover for the internal combustion engine includes a first member made of a hard plastic and a second member made of a material different from the hard plastic. The first member is produced by insert molding with the second member embedded in the first member. A periphery of at least one of the insertion holes in the second member includes a joint surface that is joined to the first member. The joint surface includes annular grooves surrounding the insertion hole, the annular grooves being arranged in a radial direction of the insertion hole.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR A CRANKCASE PRESSURE SENSOR

Various systems and methods are provided for reducing an amount of oil reaching a crankcase overpressure sensor. In one example, a system may include a cast wall protruding perpendicularly from an internal wall of crankcase, the cast wall at least partially surrounding a sensor port for a crankcase overpressure (COP) sensor, the sensor port fluidically coupled to the COP sensor via an internal passage; and a cover plate fixedly coupled to the cast wall, the cover plate parallel to the internal wall. In this way, oil may be blocked from reaching the COP sensor, while air may flow through the internal passage to the COP sensor.

This blow-by gas discharge device is provided with: blow-by gas piping 23 which is extended from the height position of the upper end of an internal combustion engine 1 to the height position of the lower end, is exposed to the outside air, and has an outlet 33 open to the atmosphere; and a heating chamber 24 which is provided between the ends of the blow-by gas piping, is formed in the flywheel housing 10 of the internal combustion engine, and heats blow-by gas.

Cylinder block for engine

A cylinder block that can be used commonly in a longitudinally mounted engine and a transversely mounted engine without increasing a manufacturing cost. The cylinder block comprises an attachment flange joined to a transmission or a transaxle, and an oil pan or the oil pan and a ladder frame are attached to a lower end thereof. The attachment flange comprises: a first flange formed on an outer periphery thereof; a first joint surface formed on the first flange to be joined to a matching surface of the transmission; a second flange extending in the inner side of the first flange; and a second joint surface formed on the second flange to be joined to a matching surface of the transaxle.

Cover for internal combustion engine

A chain cover includes a first member, which is made of a hard plastic, and a second member, which is made of a material different from the hard plastic. The first member includes a back face, which faces an engine main body. The second member is joined to the first member. Only the back face of the first member includes a groove, which receives a seal member. The seal member provides a seal between the first member and the engine main body.
