Ball retrieval system and method
A tennis ball retriever for retrieving a tennis ball on and about a tennis court and for controllably releasing the ball includes a front-end ball collector having two spaced-apart blades defining a ball collection space. The retriever includes a means for gripping and securing a ball positioned at the fore end, and one or more detents for retaining the collected ball in the collection space until a programmed or manually-directed release toward a target location such as a tennis baseline. The retriever includes a processor-controller for controlling and directing the retriever during a retrieval session. The retriever may be remote-controlled such as by voice commands.
Respiratory therapy apparatus
Respiratory therapy apparatus includes an oscillating expiratory therapy device and pressure and flow sensors in the patient inlet connected to supply signals to a processor. LOCATION-ENABLED PORTABLE AUDIO SYSTEM
Audio systems and methods for obtaining location information are disclosed. A portable, wireless speaker that may include a beacon that a user may activate to remotely trigger a request for shot information, which may include location information of the user or speaker. The beacon may be wirelessly coupled to the speaker. The speaker may receive location information from a remote device, such as a GPS-enabled mobile phone. The shot information may be converted into an audio format for playback by the speaker. The speaker may pause the playback of the speaker to play out the shot information.
EXERCISE DEVICE AND METHODS
Methods and devices for use in shuttle drills. The exercise device includes a base having a plate and a central vertical member configured to receive blocks retrieved during a shuttle drill, and several blocks configured to be placed at varying distances from the base and to be picked up by a participant and stacked on the base. The method includes placing blocks of varying colors at varying distances from a base that has a plate and a central vertical member. A participant is instructed to run to the block closest to the base, pick up the block closest to the base, run back with the block to the base and stack the block around the central vertical member, and to repeat the running, picking up, and running back steps until there are no more blocks to be picked up and all blocks are stacked around the central vertical member.
