CONDUCTIVE BAND FOR BIOSENSING GARMENTS
Embodiments described herein relate generally to wearable electronic biosensing garments. In some embodiments, an apparatus comprises a biosensing garment and a plurality of electrical connectors that are mechanically fastened to the biosensing garment. A plurality of printed electrodes is disposed on the biosensing garment, each being electrically coupled, via a corresponding conductive pathway, to a corresponding one of the plurality of electrical connectors. The apparatus can further include an elongate member including a conductive member that is coupled to a plurality of elastic members in a curved pattern and that is configured to change from a first configuration to a second configuration as the elongate member stretches. The change from the first configuration to the second configuration can result in a change of inductance of the conductive member.
BIOMETRIC MEASUREMENT ADJUSTMENT FOR ACTIVITY
One embodiment provides a method, including: identifying, using an information handling device, an activity engaged in by a user; determining, using a processor, whether a biometric of the user during the activity is affected by a biometric-affecting aspect; and adjusting, responsive to determining that the biometric is affected by the biometric-affecting aspect, an estimated measurement for the biometric. Other aspects are described and claimed.
System and method for targeted neurological therapy using brainwave entrainment with passive treatment
A system and method for targeted neurological treatment using brainwave entrainment therapy with passive treatment that allows for targeted treatment of particular areas of the brain, particular neurological functions, particular neurological states, and combinations of areas, functions, and states. The system and method receive gait parameters for an individual and compare those against a database of historical gait data to determine if an onset neurodegenerative condition is present, and applies a brainwave entrainment therapy responsive to the determination of the condition. The system and method receive a neurological assessment identifying areas of the brain or neurological functions to be treated, select one or more treatment modalities and frequencies, select a treatment regimen, and apply brainwave entrainment using a treatment regimen while the subject engages in dual-task activities selected to stimulate the areas of the brain, neurological functions, or neurological states to be treated, enhanced, or altered.
WEARABLE COMPUTER WITH FITNESS MACHINE CONNECTIVITY FOR IMPROVED ACTIVITY MONITORING
A method of generating a calibration factor is described. In an example, the method may include establishing a wireless communication connection with a fitness machine. The method may also include obtaining first machine data from the fitness machine. The first machine data may specify a type of the fitness machine. The method may also include initiating a workout session on the wearable computer based on the first machine data. During the workout session, the method may also include obtaining sensor data, obtaining second machine data, and determining the calibration factor based on the second machine data and the sensor data. The method may also include generating a workout session summary based on the calibration factor.
GOLF CLUB GRIP ASSEMBLY
An interchangeable and weight adjustable golf grip including at least an end cap body having integral receiving ports adapted to receive variable weights, electronic chips, sensors, gauges, lasers, cameras, or biometrics within and wherein the end cap is capable of housing the various weights, chips, sensors, etc. within the end cap so that a player can interchange the weights or sensors without removing the golf grip from the shaft in order to make adjustments and so that the player can play golf without removing any other portions of the grip. Further, the invention includes contemplation of a tip collette with integral receiving ports adapted to also harbor similar weights, or sensors, etc. Data from the sensors may be transmitted by Bluetooth transmission to a smartphone or a ball launch monitor system for analysis.
BRAKING SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EXERCISE EQUIPMENT
Systems and methods for adjusting resistance on an exercise cycle having a frame and a flywheel include calibration, homing and auto-follow routines. A resistance apparatus comprising an actuator is configured to selectively position the resistance apparatus relative to the flywheel, wherein a distance between the resistance apparatus to the flywheel corresponds to resistance applied to the flywheel. Control components are configured to control operation of the resistance system in response to instructions, and a computing device is configured to output media for an exercise class to a user, the exercise class comprising one or more target resistance ranges corresponding to a segment of the exercise class. The computing device is further configured to selectively implement auto-follow logic configured to determine a target resistance value for a current segment of the exercise class and instruct the control components to adjust the resistance system to the target resistance value.
ACCESSORY SYSTEMS ENABLING EXERCISE DEVICE AND COMPUTING DEVICE INTERACTIONS
Accessory systems configured to convert motion from a given exercise device into computer readable instructions for a given general-purpose computer. The accessory systems include a microcontroller and a sensor. The microcontroller is in data communication with the given general-purpose computer. The sensor is in data communication with the microcontroller and mounted in a position to monitor the given exercise device. The sensor is configured to detect motion of the given exercise device and to send motion data to the microcontroller. The microcontroller is programed with computer executable instructions to convert the motion data into computer readable instructions for the given general-purpose computer. In some examples, the accessory system includes a magnet, a first supplementary input, a second supplementary input, and/or a user input device.
CONTROLLING ACCESS TO A STATIONARY EXERCISE MACHINE
Controlling access to a stationary exercise machine. In one aspect of the disclosure, a method may include establishing one or more authorized users of a stationary exercise machine having one or more moveable members, automatically locking the one or more moveable members of the stationary exercise machine, and receiving a request to perform a workout on the stationary exercise machine. In response to the receiving of the request to perform the workout on the stationary exercise machine, the method may include automatically determining whether any of the one or more authorized users is proximate to the stationary exercise machine. In response to automatically determining that one of the one or more authorized users is proximate to the stationary exercise machine, the method may include automatically unlocking the one or more moveable members of the stationary exercise machine to enable the workout to be performed on the stationary exercise machine.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR ROTATING A TREAD BELT IN TWO DIRECTIONS
A treadmill includes a tread belt that is rotatable in a forward direction and a backward direction. Before changing rotation directions on the tread belt, the treadmill implements a safety action. The safety action includes an alert and input in response to the alert to improve the safety of the user.
