The inner ferrule comprises a plurality of engagement sections that define a plurality of gaps between the plurality of engagement sections. The outer ferrule is disposed around at least a portion of the inner ferrule. The outer ferrule comprises an engagement area mechanically joined to the plurality of engagement sections to join the inner ferrule to the outer ferrule.
Methods and systems for operating a vehicle with two fuel tanks
Systems and methods for operating a fuel system that includes two separate fuel tanks are disclosed. In one example, fuel may be purged from a fuel rail in response to Reid vapor pressure of a fuel so that engine starting may be improved. A fuel with a higher Reid vapor pressure may be pumped into the fuel rail when the engine is expected to be cold started.

A cylinder head for an internal combustion engine comprising a prechamber (3), wherein a prechamber gas valve (5) is fitted into a cavity of the cylinder head (2) and the prechamber gas valve (5) is connected to the prechamber (3) by way of a flow transfer passage (10), wherein the flow transfer passage (10) for a given cross-sectional area immediately downstream of the prechamber gas valve (5) is of such a length that in operation of the cylinder head (2) mounted in an internal combustion engine in a compression stroke of the combustion process propellant gas which flow out of the prechamber gas valve (5) forms a gas cushion at least in a first portion (8) of the flow transfer passage (10), that adjoins the prechamber gas valve (5).
Isolation valve for pressurized tank
An isolation mechanism for isolating a submerged pump in a storage vessel, where the isolation mechanism comprises a primary valve member and a secondary valve member, which are both biased in a fail-closed position. The isolation mechanism allows for redundancy for safety and reliability, and can be operated externally of the storage vessel. Furthermore, the isolation mechanism comprises venting and purging devices for safe operation of removal and installation of the pump in the storage vessel.
Precombustion chamber gas engine
A precombustion chamber gas engine includes a main-chamber forming portion forming a main combustion chamber, a precombustion-chamber forming portion forming a precombustion chamber communicating with the main combustion chamber via a plurality of nozzle holes, and an ignition device disposed in the precombustion chamber and having an ignition portion spaced from a main chamber central axis of the main combustion chamber at a predetermined distance. In a plan view, the precombustion chamber has a near-ignition region including the ignition portion and a far-ignition region opposite to the near-ignition region separated by a borderline passing through a precombustion chamber central axis of the precombustion chamber and perpendicular to a straight line passing through the precombustion chamber central axis and the ignition portion. The distance between the precombustion chamber central axis and a precombustion-chamber-side opening end, connected to the precombustion chamber, of a specific far nozzle hole which is at least one nozzle hole in the far-ignition region is shorter or longer than the distance between the precombustion chamber central axis and a precombustion-chamber-side opening end of a specific near nozzle hole which is at least one nozzle hole in the near-ignition region.
PRESSURE REGULATOR WARM UP SYSTEM FOR A TRANSPORT REFRIGERATION UNIT
A method of warming a valve assembly includes receiving an exhaust flow through a first heat exchanger first inlet; heating a coolant received through a first heat exchanger second inlet with the exhaust flow; exhausting the exhaust flow through a first heat exchanger first outlet; and discharging heated coolant through a first heat exchanger second outlet towards a second heat exchanger assembly that is coupled to the valve assembly to heat the valve assembly.
DEVICE FOR SUPPLYING A GASEOUS FUEL TO AN ENGINE
The invention relates to a device for supplying a gaseous fuel to an engine that comprises a gas accumulator for receiving highly pressurized gaseous fuel, a gas buffer for receiving medium pressurized gaseous fuel, a gas supply device for delivering a gaseous fuel into an engine combustion space, a first gas line that connects the gas accumulator to the gas buffer and whose gas flow can be regulated via a first valve, a second gas line that connects the gas accumulator to the gas buffer and whose gas flow can be regulated via a second valve, and a third gas line that connects the gas buffer to the gas supply device. The device is further characterized in that a compressor is arranged in the second gas line to increase a pressure of a gaseous fuel flowing from the gas accumulator to the gas buffer.
Gas processing system and vessel including the same
A gas processing system according to an embodiment of the present invention controls inflow fuel pressure of a low pressure demand source according to an operation or a non-operation of a high pressure demand source and the low pressure demand source.
Use of decompressing natural gas to lower the intake air temperature of an internal combustion engine
A fuel system is comprising: a fuel tank; an internal combustion engine; a fuel regulator fluidly connecting the fuel tank to the engine, the fuel regulator being configured to reduce the pressure of the fuel from a first fuel pressure at the fuel tank to a second fuel pressure at the engine; an air supply assembly configured to supply air from an air inlet to the engine, the air assembly comprising: a first air supply line fluidly connecting the air inlet and the engine, the first air supply line being in thermal communication with the fuel regulator; a second air supply line fluidly connecting the air inlet and the engine, the second air supply line being in parallel with the first air supply line; and an air valve configured to adjust the air flowing through at least one of the first air supply line and the second air supply line.
