An isolation mechanism for isolating a submerged pump in a storage vessel, where the isolation mechanism comprises a primary valve member and a secondary valve member, which are both biased in a fail-closed position. The isolation mechanism allows for redundancy for safety and reliability, and can be operated externally of the storage vessel. Furthermore, the isolation mechanism comprises venting and purging devices for safe operation of removal and installation of the pump in the storage vessel.
USE OF DECOMPRESSING NATURAL GAS TO LOWER THE INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE OF AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
A fuel system is comprising: a fuel tank; an internal combustion engine; a fuel regulator fluidly connecting the fuel tank to the engine, the fuel regulator being configured to reduce the pressure of the fuel from a first fuel pressure at the fuel tank to a second fuel pressure at the engine; an air supply assembly configured to supply air from an air inlet to the engine, the air assembly comprising: a first air supply line fluidly connecting the air inlet and the engine, the first air supply line being in thermal communication with the fuel regulator; a second air supply line fluidly connecting the air inlet and the engine, the second air supply line being in parallel with the first air supply line; and an air valve configured to adjust the air flowing through at least one of the first air supply line and the second air supply line.
GASEOUS FUEL FEEDING SYSTEM AND A VALVE
A gaseous fuel feeding system having a fuel supply line enclosed by a barrier wall system such that the fuel supply line includes a primary flow channel for the fuel and a secondary flow channel around the primary flow channel inside the barrier wall system, and a valve having a first fluid passage and a second fluid passage arranged to extend through the valve. The valve is coupled between the first and the second fuel supply line sections, such that the primary flow channel in the first fuel supply line section is in controllable flow connection with the primary flow channel in the second fuel supply line section via the first fluid passage of the valve. The secondary flow channel is in continuous flow connection with the secondary flow channel in the second fuel supply line section via the second fluid passage of the valve.
Gas treatment system and vessel including the same
A gas processing system according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a heater which is configured to increase a temperature of liquefied gas compulsorily vaporized by a forcing vaporizer before the liquefied gas is joined with Boil Off Gas (BOG) compressed by a BOG compressor.
System for filling LPG vehicle with LPG using auxiliary bombe
A system for filling an LPG vehicle with LPG using an auxiliary bombe is provided. The system may be configured for easily filling a main bombe with LPG even in the hot season (summertime) or the like during which the outside temperature rapidly rises, by using an auxiliary bombe in addition to using the main bombe. The system may also be capable of always smoothly refilling the main bombe with LPG by moving a portion of the LPG in the main bombe to the auxiliary bombe, when the pressure in the main bombe is higher than the LPG filling pressure of a filling gun in the hot season during which the outside temperature rapidly rises, so that the pressure in the main bombe becomes lower than the filling pressure.
GAS ENGINE, METHOD FOR OPERATING A GAS ENGINE AND GENERATOR SET
An internal combustion gas engine (2) is disclosed. It includes a cylinder arrangement (4) and a first compressor (6) for compressing a gaseous fuel and air mixture. The at least one cylinder arrangement (4) forms a combustion chamber (8) and includes an intake arrangement (10) for intake of charge gas, a sparkplug (12), and a pre-chamber (14). The engine (2) comprises a second compressor (16) for compressing a gaseous medium, and a pressure reducer (18). An outlet (20) of the first compressor (6) is arranged in parallel with an outlet (22) of the second compressor (16). The outlet (20) of the first compressor (6) is connected to the pre-chamber (14). The outlet (20) of the first compressor (6) and the outlet (22) of the second compressor (16) are connected to the pressure reducer (18). An outlet (24) of the pressure reducer (18) is connected to the intake arrangement (10).
Arrangement of cryogenic containers for LNG or CNG on a deck of a tugboat
The invention relates to an arrangement of one or more cryogenic tank containers for storing liquefied natural gas (LNG) or compressed natural gas (CNG) on an open deck of a tugboat. The one or more cryogenic tank containers are removably mounted on and at an aft deck area of the tugboat and are provided with means for supplying LNG or CNG to the engine of the tugboat.
PRECOMBUSTION CHAMBER GAS ENGINE
A precombustion chamber gas engine includes a main-chamber forming portion forming a main combustion chamber, a precombustion-chamber forming portion forming a precombustion chamber communicating with the main combustion chamber via a plurality of nozzle holes, and an ignition device disposed in the precombustion chamber and having an ignition portion spaced from a main chamber central axis of the main combustion chamber at a predetermined distance. In a plan view, the precombustion chamber has a near-ignition region including the ignition portion and a far-ignition region opposite to the near-ignition region separated by a borderline passing through a precombustion chamber central axis of the precombustion chamber and perpendicular to a straight line passing through the precombustion chamber central axis and the ignition portion. The distance between the precombustion chamber central axis and a precombustion-chamber-side opening end, connected to the precombustion chamber, of a specific far nozzle hole which is at least one nozzle hole in the far-ignition region is shorter or longer than the distance between the precombustion chamber central axis and a precombustion-chamber-side opening end of a specific near nozzle hole which is at least one nozzle hole in the near-ignition region.
