A fuel tank venting system for a motor vehicle includes an outlet side of a tank venting valve connected to an inlet side of a first vent line and to an inlet side of a second vent line. An outlet side of the first vent line is connected to an intake manifold upstream from a throttle valve and downstream from an air filter, and an outlet side of the second vent line is connected to the intake manifold downstream from the throttle valve. A position sensor may be located at a first position and the first closing element has a detectable element. The position sensor is connected to an electronic control device to transmit signals. A position of the first closing element may be determined by means of the position sensor and the detectable element.

Methods and systems are provided for adjusting and diagnosing one or more canister purge valves in a fuel vapor recovery system. In one example, a method may include adjusting one or more canister purge valves in a passage coupled to a fuel vapor canister of the fuel vapor recovery system to allow flow between an intake passage and an intake manifold of the engine based on engine operating conditions. Further, the method may include indicating the one or more canister purge valves are degraded and based on a change in air-fuel ratio after adjusting the one or more canister purge valves.

Flow rate control valve and fuel vapor processing apparatus including the same

A flow rate control valve includes: a valve casing forming a fluid passage; a valve seat provided in the fluid passage; a stepping motor; a valve guide stroke-controlled by the stepping motor via a feed screw mechanism; a valve body configured to be placed and separated on and from the valve seat; a connector connecting the valve guide and the valve body so as to allow them to move in an axial direction within a predetermined range; a valve spring biasing the valve body in a closing direction. When closing the valve body, ECU controls the motor to a closed state such that a connection between the valve guide and the valve body by the connector is released, with the valve body being seated on the valve seat, and the valve guide being situated at a non-contact position spaced away from the valve seat.

Control device for uniformly distributing gases and/or liquids between at least two containers

A control device is provided for uniformly distributing gases and/or liquids between at least two containers with a different internal pressure, such as, fuel containers, crank casings and the like, in particular in internal combustion engines with more than one cylinder bank and a separate intake air feed per bank. The gas feed line assemblies (1) leading to the cylinder banks are connected to a chamber of a double-acting pressure box (4) and the gas flow in the gas feed line assembly (1) with the greater underpressure is reduced using a diaphragm (7) that is deflected as a result of a pressure difference in the gas feed line assemblies (1) by means of at least one throttle valve (10, 11) that can be activated via at least one sliding element (8, 9).

Fuel supply device

The fuel supply device has a module installed in a fuel tank. The module has a cap and a support pillar arranged between the cap and a bottom of the fuel tank. The cap is supporting a valve relevant to ventilation of the fuel tank. The valve is supported by a base portion. The base portion and a large diameter part are connected by snap-fit mechanisms. The valve and the base portion are connected by snap-fit mechanisms. A hook part is arranged in an engaging window. It is possible to inspect the valve through the engaging window.

Fuel vapor blocking valve control

Methods and systems for controlling and reducing current consumption of a vapor blocking valve are disclosed. In one example, current supplied to the vapor blocking valve is adjusted proportionately to fuel tank pressure to compensate for fuel tank pressure acting on the vapor blocking valve. Vapor blocking valve current is adjusted to reduce current consumption.

EVAPORATED FUEL PROCESSING DEVICE

An evaporated fuel processing device includes a flow control valve that is used as a valve to be installed in a pathway connecting a canister and a fuel tank. The device includes an inner pressure sensor configured to detect a pressure in an interior space of the fuel tank as an inner pressure, a valve-opening start position determination means configured to calculate a second order differential value of the inner pressure after a valve opening operation of the flow control valve is started and to determine a valve opening position of the flow control valve as a valve-opening start position when the second order differential value is equal to or greater than a first predetermined value, and a learning means configured to store the valve-opening start position as a learned value that is used when a valve-opening control of the flow control valve is performed.
