Fluid control valve
A fluid control valve includes a housing body, a valve member, and a cap. The housing body includes a pipe part and a valve housing part. The valve housing part includes a valve opening, a pair of flat surfaces and an open end. In addition, the valve housing part houses the valve member configured to open and close the valve opening. The valve housing part has a central axis oriented perpendicular to a central axis of the pipe part. The cap closes the open end of the valve housing part. The flat surfaces are formed on opposite sides of a plane including the central axis of the valve housing part and the central axis of the pipe part. Each of the flat surfaces extend perpendicularly to the central axis of the valve housing.
FUEL TANK ISOLATION VALVE
A fuel tank isolation valve (FTIV) and methods of operation are provided. The FTIV includes first and second solenoid valves with the movable valve member of one of the solenoid valves seating against a movable valve member of the other one of the solenoid valves. One of the solenoid valves may be refueling valve allowing for evacuation of fuel vapor during refueling operations as well as to allow for purging high vapor pressure within the fuel tank. One of the solenoid valves may be a proportional valve used to control the flow of fuel vapor to an intake manifold of an operating internal combustion engine as well as to reduce a vacuum generated within the fuel tank.
Magnetically latching valve for fuel vapor management systems and systems incorporating same
Magnetic latching valves have a housing with first and second ports in controlled fluid communication with one another. Enclosed within the housing is a linearly translatable armature within a solenoid. The armature is movable between open and closed positions and is connected to a poppet valve. A permanent magnet is fixedly seated at a position for magnetically latching the armature in the open position, and a spring is seated with a first end against the poppet valve and a second end against the housing. The spring biases the poppet valve closed when the armature is in the closed position and has a pre-selected spring rate that mechanically relieves pressure if the spring rate is exceeded. The armature is moved to the open position after a pulse of voltage to the solenoid and is in an unpowered state thereafter. Vehicle fuel refueling system are disclosed that include a magnetic latching valve.
Vapor impermeable solenoid for fuel vapor environment
A vapor impermeable solenoid for a fuel tank isolation valve assembly an outer housing defining an inner cavity, windings configured to generate a magnetic flux when energized, and a flux collector configured to direct the magnetic flux. An armature tube is disposed within the inner cavity inboard of the flux collector and formed of a magnetic and vapor impermeable material configured to prevent fuel vapor molecules from passing therethrough. A pole piece is disposed within the armature tube, and a magnetic armature is disposed within the armature tube and operably coupled to a seal configured to selectively seal a passage that allows fuel vapor to pass to a purge canister. The magnetic armature is configured to move from a first position to a second position when an electric current is applied to the windings.
FUEL TANK ISOLATION SOLENOID VALVE FOR VEHICLE
A fuel tank isolation solenoid valve for a vehicle includes: a plunger disposed in the isolation solenoid valve to be vertically moved and has first vent holes for releasing overpressure or over-negative pressure; a valve body disposed in the isolation solenoid valve to be vertically moved and has second vent holes for releasing overpressure or over-negative pressure.
Leakage detector for fuel vapor treatment device
A leakage detector for a fuel vapor treatment device includes a control unit. The control unit shifts a purge control valve and a shutoff valve to a first state with the purge control valve is an opened position and the shutoff valve in a closed position, and then shifts the purge control valve and the shutoff valve to a second state with the purge control valve is a closed position and the shutoff valve in a closed position. The control unit compares a first purge passage pressure acquired from the purge passage pressure detector when the purge control valve and the shutoff valve were shifted to the second state with a second purge passage pressure acquired from the purge passage pressure detector after a lapse of a first waiting time after being shifting to the second state. This comparison is used to determine leakage in the purge passage.
ELECTROMAGNETIC DEVICE COMPRISING A VAPOUR OUTLET CONDUIT ARRANGED IN AN INTERMEDIATE CASING
The present invention relates to an electromagnetic device (10) comprising: —an electromagnetic system (60), —a fuel vapour outlet conduit (30) extending the electromagnetic system (60), —a first housing (61), in which the electromagnetic system (60) is arranged. The invention is characterized in that the fuel vapour outlet conduit (30) is arranged in an intermediate housing (71).
FUEL TANK PRESSURE REGULATOR
A fuel tank vent valve includes a venting apparatus for regulating discharge of fuel vapor from a fuel tank and admission of outside air into a fuel tank. The vent valve is used to regulate pressure in a fuel tank.
PRESSURE SENSOR FOR EVAPORATED FUEL LEAK DETECTOR
A pressure sensor for an evaporated fuel leak detector is used for checking a leak in a fuel tank and a canister. The pressure sensor includes a sensor unit, a case, and a sealing resin. The sensor unit includes a pressure receiving portion for detecting a pressure of a fluid applied to a pressure receiving surface, and a mold resin portion covering a surface of the pressure receiving portion except for the pressure receiving surface. The case has a fluid flow path for introducing the fluid to the pressure receiving surface, and a housing recess in which the sensor unit is accommodated. The sealing resin is arranged in the housing recess, to at least cover a back surface of the mold resin portion located on an opposite side of the pressure receiving surface.
