Control device for internal combustion engine
A control device for an internal combustion engine includes an internal combustion engine and a valve opening-closing timing control device. The valve opening-closing timing control device has a phase adjustment mechanism for setting a relative rotation phase of a driving-side rotator and a driven-side rotator. The phase adjustment mechanism overlaps a timing of opening an intake valve with a timing of opening an exhaust valve, by setting, in a predetermined period, the relative rotation phase such that the exhaust valve closes after a top dead center position has been reached, and a bypass passage is provided that connects an exhaust passage of one cylinder that is in an exhaust process to the exhaust passage of another cylinder that is in an intake process at the same time as the exhaust process.
Valve for mixing two gas flows
A valve for mixing two gas streams, having a housing, a first gas inlet, a second gas inlet, and a gas outlet. The gas inlets are fluidically connected to the gas outlet. Downstream of the first gas inlet there is a guide element mounted displaceably inside the housing. By displacing the guide element, it is possible to control a flow cross section of a flow transfer opening for the transfer flow of the gas volume flowing in through the first gas inlet to the gas outlet through the guide element.
Engine system
This engine system is provided with a throttle device, an EGR valve, and an ECU. The ECU diagnoses an abnormality of the EGR valve on the basis of an operating state during an engine deceleration, and diagnoses combustion deterioration of an engine on the basis of a crank angle speed change during the engine deceleration (not during a fuel cut-off). The ECU executes an engine stall avoidance control with the throttle device when it is determined there is an abnormality in the EGR valve, makes a final determination that the EGR valve has an abnormality and continues the engine stall avoidance control when it is determined thereafter that there is combustion deterioration, and makes a final determination that the EGR valve is normal and cancels the engine stall avoidance control when it is determined that there is no combustion deterioration.
Throttle valve device
A throttle valve device includes a body, a valve, a motor, a speed reducer, and a cover. The body that defines a passage and a motor space therein. The motor includes a motor yoke, a magnet, a motor shaft, a pair of motor bearings, an armature core, a commutator, a brush, and a brush holder. The motor yoke is made of a magnetic material. The brush holder holds the brush. The motor yoke has an open end that is covered by the brush holder.
Combustion control system for engine
A combustion control system for an engine mounted on an automobile is provided, which includes an ignition plug, intake and exhaust passages, an EGR passage, an EGR valve, and a control device having a processor which controls the ignition plug and the EGR valve according to an engine operating state and reduces deposit being accumulated inside a combustion chamber. The control device performs a control in which an accumulating amount of the deposit is estimated, and a control in which the deposit is removed when the estimated accumulating amount becomes more than a given setting value. In the deposit removal control, a control of the ignition plug in which a mixture gas is caused to combust by igniting the mixture gas, and a control of the EGR valve in which an amount of exhaust gas introduced into the combustion chamber is decreased, are performed.
