Sporting apparatus and controlling method thereof

A sporting apparatus comprises a structure body, an endless belt, an electricity generating unit, a position sensing unit and a modulation unit for continuously outputting electricity as the sporting apparatus is continuously operated. The electricity generating unit transforms kinetic energy, which is transmitted from the endless belt, into electric power. The position sensing unit senses a position of a user on the endless belt so as to generate a sensing signal. The modulation unit includes a DC/AC inverter, a current sensing element, an inductor and a semiconductor switch with a controller. The current sensing element senses an armature current outputted from the electricity generating unit and outputs a signal to the controller. The controller controls the duty ratio of the semiconductor switch to control the armature current, so that the armature current is adjusted according to the sensing signal for controlling the rotation speed of the endless belt.

Information processing apparatus, and method

An information processing apparatus includes a processor and a memory with instructions thereon. The instructions upon execution by the processor, causes the processor to: sequentially sense a movement of a body of a user; present, to the user, an avatar corresponding to the user, rather than a photographed image of an appearance of the user, based on a result of the sensing so that the user perceives a shape of a surface of the body of the user; determine a position of a figure object to be drawn that serves as a guide for movement of the body of the user in association with the avatar based on the result of the sensing; and display the figure object at the determined position.

A light touch maintaining device includes: a contact load evaluation unit that determines whether a subject person is in a light touch state, on the basis of a contact load between the subject person and a support; and an exercise intervention control unit that controls exercise intervention on the subject person, to maintain a light touch state when the subject person is not in a light touch state.

TREADMILL, WAKEUP METHOD AND FALL DETECTION METHOD THEREOF

There is provided a treadmill capable of performing the fall detection. The treadmill includes a light sensor and a processor. The light sensor acquires an image frame toward an operation space. The processor performs the occupancy detection on the image frame using face detection and human detection. Upon not detecting the operation space being occupied by any user during a running state of the treadmill, the processor deactivates the treadmill and raises a fall alarm.
