FILTER ELEMENT AND AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
A filter element may include first and second pairs of opposing walls extending along a longitudinal axis of the filter element. The first and second pairs of opposing walls may create a flow passage between an inlet end and an outlet end of the filter element. The filter element may further include filter media configured to separate particulates from air flowing through the flow passage, and a wedge element associated with an exterior surface of at least one of the first pair of opposing walls. The wedge element may be configured to cooperate with an interior surface of a filter housing configured to receive the filter element.
Air cleaner assemblies
A filter cartridge configured to be removably positionable within an inner opening of a housing, wherein the filter cartridge includes a media pack having an inlet end, an outlet end, and an outer surface having an outer peripheral shape, at least one of: (a) a frame member at least partially surrounding the media pack, the frame member including a frame wall having a shape that is different from the outer perimeter shape of the media pack; and (b) a shell at least partially surrounding the media pack, the shell including a shell wall having a shape that is different from the outer perimeter shape of the media pack, and a sealing member extending at least partially around the inlet end of the media pack, wherein the sealing member connects the media pack to at least one of the frame member and the shell.
FILTER CARTRIDGES; AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLIES; HOUSINGS; FEATURES; COMPONENTS; AND, METHODS
According to the present disclosure, air cleaner assemblies, housings, serviceable filter cartridges and features, components, and methods, relating thereto are disclosed. In general, the features relate to systems that are configured to aid in inhibiting an improper cartridge from being installed in an air cleaner housing, during servicing. A variety of features are characterized, and in many examples, the cartridge includes a seal arrangement having radially directed seal surface with at least a first non-wavy or non-projection/recess section and a second wavy or projection/recess section. Examples are shown and described in detail.
Air cleaner having built-in valve and intake system thereof
An air cleaner may include a filter case configured to introduce, by a suction force of an internal space, ambient air being discharged through a filter provided in the internal space as intake air from which foreign substances are removed; and a built-in valve built in the internal space of the filter case and configured to form an ambient air introduction path for introducing the ambient air and an additional ambient air introduction path separated from the ambient air introduction path and to open the additional ambient air introduction path so that the ambient air flows into through the additional ambient air introduction path when the suction force is increased.
AIR CLEANER FOR VEHICLE
In an air cleaner for a vehicle, a connection part of a first intake duct to a cleaner case is disposed in a front half portion of one of left and right half portions of the cleaner case, the first intake duct including a first air inlet port opening forward. A connection part of a second intake duct to the cleaner case is disposed in a rear half portion of an other of the left and right half portions, the second intake duct including a second air inlet port opening rearward. The first intake duct is formed to include a first air outlet port opening rearward inside an unpurified chamber and curve in an up-down direction in a side view, and the second intake duct is formed to include a second air outlet port opening forward inside the unpurified chamber and curve in a right-left direction in a plan view.
Cold air intake circulating air jacket
An air intake assembly arranged in an engine compartment of an automotive vehicle and configured for directing air into a throttle body of an engine of the vehicle is provided. The air intake assembly includes an air intake duct and an air jacket. The air intake duct is configured to direct air from an inlet duct to the throttle body. The air jacket is arranged around the air intake duct. The air jacket has a first air jacket opening and a second air jacket opening. The air jacket forms an air gap between the air jacket and the air intake duct. Air flowing through the air jacket from one of the first and second air jacket openings to the other of the first and second air jacket openings cools the air intake duct thereby reducing a temperature of air directed from the intake duct into the throttle body.
Air cleaner box assembly
A vehicle includes an air cleaner box assembly disposed within an engine compartment. The air cleaner box assembly includes a moveable shell portion and a stationary shell portion. The moveable shell portion includes an upper surface disposed adjacent a hood, and defines a filtered air chamber. The stationary shell portion is attached to a structure, and defines an unfiltered air chamber. A filter element is attached to and supported by the moveable shell portion. The filter element separates the filtered air chamber and the un-filtered air chamber. Each of a plurality of spring loaded guide members slideably connect the moveable shell portion and the stationary shell portion, and guide the moveable shell portion along a path relative to the stationary shell portion, between an expanded position and a compressed position.
Hood of a multi cyclone block of an air cleaner and air cleaner
The present invention relates to a hood (40) of a multi cyclone block (12) and an air cleaner (10). The cyclone block (12) has a plurality of cyclone cells (28). The hood (40) having at least one hood-inlet (50) and at least one hood-outlet (52) for air to be fed to the cyclone cells (28). The at least one hood-outlet (52) is designed for surrounding, a plurality of cell-inlets (36) of the cyclone cells (28) of the cyclone block (12). A wall (70) of the hood (40) defines a distributor volume (72) inside the hood (40), which is located between the at least one hood-inlet (50) and the at least one hood-outlet (52). The wall (70) has at least one line or area of inflection (74), where at least one inner surface of the wall (70) changes its curvature.
AIR CLEANER STRUCTURE IN SADDLE-RIDE TYPE VEHICLE
In a saddle-ride type vehicle in which a cleaner case of an air cleaner is configured with first and second case half bodies coupled to each other and arranged in a vehicle width direction, and is arranged in a space surrounded by a vehicle body frame, a first case half body is provided with: a cleaner element insertion/removal port opened outward so as to permit insertion and removal of a cleaner element therethrough; a purified air outlet connected with a connecting tube for guiding purified air to an engine body side; and an outside air suction port for introducing air from an outside into the cleaner case.
Saddle type vehicle
A saddle type vehicle to improve the workability in fastening a frame and an engine together and thereby to enhance productivity. The saddle type vehicle includes a head pipe, a main frame extending rearwardly from the head pipe, and a seat rail located rearwardly of the main frame for supporting a seat. The main frame is fastened to the engine by fastening members being directed from an outer side toward an inner side in the vehicle widthwise direction. A knock pin is provided between the main frame and the engine, in a position in the vicinity of at least one of the fastening members.
