Systems for cleaning internal combustion engine intake valves
11022034 · 2021-06-01 ·

A system including a solvent in fluid communication with the air intake valves of an internal combustion engine. The internal combustion engine generating a vacuum to cause the solvent to disperse into the air intake manifold of the internal combustion engine.

System for storing an aqueous solution on-board a vehicle

A vehicle system storing an aqueous solution includes: a first compartment; a second compartment; a module that includes a feed pump unit connected for pumping aqueous solution from the first compartment to a feed outlet; and a jet pump having a suction inlet, a pressure inlet and an outlet. The feed pump unit is further connected for pumping aqueous solution along a flow path from the first compartment through the feed pump unit, through the pressure inlet of the jet pump to the outlet of the jet pump. A heater heats the flow path. The suction inlet is connected to a suction line that receives the aqueous solution from the second compartment. The outlet of the jet pump returns aqueous solution from the suction inlet and from the pressure inlet to the first compartment.

OPENING/CLOSING MECHANISM OF INTAKE MEMBER

An opening/closing mechanism of an intake member includes: an intake member that accommodates a filter part and has an opening leading to a carburetor in an end wall opposing the filter part; an opening/closing member disposed between the filter part and the end wall, and opens/closes the opening; and a working member disposed on an opposite side to the opening/closing member so as to interpose the end wall, and allows the opening/closing member to be operated. The working member includes: an arm part which extends along the end wall and is linked with the opening/closing member to interpose the end wall at one end part, and a holding part provided to another end part of the arm part. The intake member has a guide hole into which the arm part is inserted and guides movement of the arm part.

Collapsible foam sleeve for engine air induction system

Methods and systems are provided for a foam sleeve circumferentially surrounding an engine passage. In one example, a system may include a collapsible foam sleeve including cuts on its surface that may be fit onto the engine passage. The foam sleeve may be stacked and transported in a collapsed state and then expanded prior to the fitting to the engine passage.

A ship propulsion system comprises at least one internal combustion engine with a combustion chamber for burning a fuel and a turbocharger with a compressor in an intake tract of the internal combustion engine. The ship propulsion system further comprises an electrolysis device, which produces hydrogen and oxygen gas, which are added on a pressure side of the compressor and conducted to the internal combustion engine. Moreover, a water tank and an alcohol tank are connected to a pressure side of the compressor in order to add water and alcohol to the charge air.

HYDROGEN PRODUCING SYSTEM AND DEVICE FOR IMPROVING FUEL EFFICIENCY AND REDUCING EMISSIONS OF INTERNAL COMBUSTION AND/OR DIESEL ENGINES
20210047987 · 2021-02-18 · ·

Provided herein is an optimizable hydrogen generation system for producing and injecting hydrogen gas as a fuel supplement into the air intake of internal combustion and/or diesel engines. Hydrogen gas (H.sub.2) and oxygen gas (O.sub.2) are produced with one or more pairs of cells to adjust the amount of hydrogen gas supplied to the engine, while the oxygen gas is vented to the atmosphere.

Internal combustion engine

An internal combustion engine includes a cylinder block including a cylinder, a cylinder head including an intake port, the intake port communicating with the cylinder, an intake manifold fixed to the cylinder head, the intake manifold being configured to supply intake air into the cylinder, and a dynamic vibration absorber configured to suppress vibration of the intake manifold. A direction that is orthogonal to both a central axis of the cylinder and a rotational axis of a crankshaft of the internal combustion engine is defined as a width direction. The dynamic vibration absorber is attached to the intake manifold on an opposite side of a center of gravity of the intake manifold from the cylinder head in the width direction.

COOLING DEVICE

A cooling device includes a surrounding member, an air inlet, an air outlet, and a flow-path-formation mechanism. The surrounding member is configured to surround an engine. The air inlet is formed in the surrounding member. The air outlet is formed in the surrounding member and is to be coupled to an intake pipe of the engine. The flow-path-formation mechanism is configured to form a flow path that allows outside air to circulate to the air outlet from the air inlet when a temperature of the engine or a temperature inside the surrounding member is greater than or equal to a predetermined temperature.

Combination shaft

A combination shaft including a first shaft including an axial protrusion including a first circumferential surface defining a first outer diameter and a second circumferential surface defining a second outer diameter, and a second shaft having a cavity therein configured to receive at least a portion of the first shaft and being configured to drive an air valve, having internal threads, and defining at least a first inner radial surface having a first inner diameter and a second inner radial surface having second inner diameter, the internal threads being engagable with the external threads to prevent axial movement between the first shaft and the second shaft and the first inner radial surface being engagable with the first outer radial surface and the second inner radial surface being engagable with the second outer radial surface to provide radial centering of the first shaft to the second shaft.
