The housing includes a communicating opening that communicates with the outside of the fuel tank, a tubular portion that extends in a vertical direction, and an inlet for liquid fuel located in the tubular portion at a position below the communicating opening. The float valve selectively closes and opens the communicating opening by moving vertically. The fuel inflow portion is provided outside the tubular portion and has a first end having an inflow port for liquid fuel and a second end connected to the inlet. The inflow port is opened at a position that is above the inlet and spaced outward in a radial direction from the tubular portion. The housing includes a discharge port for discharging liquid fuel in the housing.

Connection ring for removable attachment of a fuel supply unit on a motor vehicle tank opening

A connection ring is provided for removable attachment of a fuel supply unit on a fuel tank. The connection ring has a ring upper side, at least one attachment elevation which protrudes from the ring upper side, and at least one tool engagement region. The tool engagement region is constructed such that a torque from a tool can be transmitted onto the connection ring. At least one portion of the tool engagement region and one portion of the attachment elevation are at an equal distance from the center of the connection ring in the radial direction from the center.

Fuel delivery injector

A fuel delivery injector includes a housing, an end cap including an inlet port fluidly coupled to a cavity to direct fuel vapor and liquid fuel into the cavity and an outlet port fluidly coupled to the cavity to direct fuel vapor and liquid fuel out of the cavity, a magnetic assembly fixedly positioned within the cavity, and a pumping assembly including a bobbin and a piston. A return spring is coupled to the pumping assembly to bias the pumping assembly to a home position and a valve assembly including a biasing spring is positioned between an inlet chamber and an outlet chamber. The liquid fuel entering the housing through the inlet port flows from the inlet port to the cavity and fuel vapor entering the housing through the inlet port is directed through a conduit to the outlet port.

An engine-driven working machine according to the present invention has a controller and a muffler. The controller is operated from starting of the engine in a rotational speed limitation mode in which the engine is prevented from rotating at a rotational speed that is higher than the predetermined limitation rotational speed. The controller forces to stop the engine, after a predetermined period has passed, during which the engine operates in the rotational speed limitation mode.

To improve responsiveness of fuel supply control, a rotary carburetor 100 has a nozzle 8 including a fuel discharge port 8a and a needle 10 disposed coaxially with the nozzle 8 and disposed with a portion inserted into the nozzle 8. The needle 10 can be displaced relative to the nozzle 8 to change an effective area of the fuel discharge port 8a. The rotary carburetor 100 has an electric motor 14 for displacing the needle 10 along an axis, and a drive mechanism component 12 interposed between the electric motor 14 and the needle 10 and converting a rotational movement of the electric motor into a linear movement.

DUAL FUEL TANK SYSTEM FOR A MACHINE
20200108714 · 2020-04-09 · ·

A dual fuel tank system for a machine having a frame and an engine enclosure mounted on a rear portion of the frame includes a pair of support plates located at the rear portion of the frame and welded onto a pair of sides of the frame. Further, the dual fuel system also includes a pair of upper and lower support brackets secured onto each side of the engine enclosure. Furthermore, the dual fuel system also includes a pair of fuel tanks disposed on the pair of sides of the engine enclosure. Each fuel tank is releasably secured onto the support plate and an associated pair of the upper and lower support brackets.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE SENSOR RATIONALIZATION
20200102203 · 2020-04-02 ·

Methods and systems are provided for determining a source of degradation stemming from a vehicle fuel system during a refueling event. Specifically, in one example a method may include responsive to a refueling lock that enables access to a fuel tank of a fuel system being manually unlocked in order to add fuel to the fuel tank, monitoring a pressure in the fuel system and a fuel level in the fuel tank during refueling the fuel tank, and indicating degradation of the fuel system as a function of both the pressure and the fuel level. In this way, fuel system degradation may be pinpointed during a refueling event that is enabled via manual unlocking of the refueling lock.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE SENSOR RATIONALIZATION

Methods and systems are provided for determining an offset of a pressure sensor that is used for monitoring pressure in a fuel system that is sealed expect for refueling and other diagnostic events. In one example, a method includes waking a controller of a vehicle when it is expected that a pressure in a fuel system that is sealed from atmospheric pressure is at atmospheric pressure, unsealing the fuel system, and indicating an offset of the pressure sensor based on a pressure change after the fuel system is unsealed. In this way, pressure sensor offset may be determined regularly without undesirably loading a fuel vapor storage canister with vapors, which may be particularly advantageous for hybrid vehicles.

Fuel tank having additional reserve volume

The present disclosure relates to a fuel tank having a module pot, which forms a first separate fuel reservoir for a fuel pump arranged inside the fuel tank. To prevent a gap in delivery of fuel to supply the first fuel reservoir in certain operating conditions, in particular when there is persistent lateral acceleration, according to the invention, a second separate fuel reservoir arranged separately from the first fuel reservoir inside the fuel tank is proposed, such that fuel is transferred from the second fuel reservoir into the first fuel reservoir at least when a predetermined acceleration level acting on the fuel tank is exceeded.
