Vehicle fuel system
An improved vehicle fuel system enables mixing of natural gas and a liquid fuel upstream of a combustion cylinder. According to some embodiments the system includes: a gas pressure vessel and associated gas pressurization system to deliver natural gas at a desired pressure; a liquid fuel storage vessel and associated reservoir pump to deliver liquid fuel at a desired pressure; a mixing system configured to receive and mix the liquid fuel from the liquid fuel storage vessel and natural gas from the gas pressure vessel to produce a homogeneous fluid fuel mixture; and a common rail system connecting the mixing system to an engine that consumes the homogeneous fluid fuel.
Engine apparatus
An engine apparatus includes an engine, a supercharger, an evaporated fuel treatment device, a controller and the engine apparatus is configured to determine a purge classification whether the evaporated fuel is a first purge in which the evaporated fuel flows dominantly in a first purge passage or a second purge in which the evaporated fuel flows dominantly in a second purge passage based on a relative ejector pressure that is a pressure of a suction port of the ejector and a value obtained by adding an offset amount based on a cross-sectional area of the second purge passage with respect to a cross-sectional area of the first purge passage to a pressure behind a throttle valve that is the pressure on a downstream side of the throttle valve of the intake pipe.

UNIVERSAL INLINE FUEL PUMP
An apparatus and a method are provided for an inline fuel pump for conveying liquid fuel from a fuel source to an intake of an internal combustion engine. The inline fuel pump operates with various fuels, such as gasoline, diesel, biodiesel, gasoline-ethanol blends, as well as commonly used fuel additives. The inline fuel pump comprises an inlet placed into fluid communication with the fuel source. An outlet of the inline fuel pump is placed into fluid communication with the intake. An electric motor coupled with an internal liquid pump convey liquid fuel from the inlet to the outlet. The electric motor and the internal liquid pump are housed within a sealed case configured to protect the electric motor and the liquid pump from an exterior environment. Power leads convey electrical power from an electrical system of the vehicle to the electric motor.
ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION MODULE
One embodiment of the invention relates to an electronic fuel injection module including a throttle body including a throat extending between an inlet port and an outlet port and a fuel delivery injector too unit. The fuel delivery injector unit includes a cavity, a fuel inlet, a magnetic assembly, a pumping assembly, a spring, a valve seat, a valve, and an out valve. The fuel inlet receives fuel and directs fuel into the cavity. The magnetic assembly is within the cavity and includes a magnet, a pole, and a hollow sleeve. The pumping assembly includes a bobbin and piston. The bobbin is configured to move the pumping assembly. The piston is coupled to the bobbin. The valve seat is located at one end of the piston. The valve selectively allows fuel to flow into a pressure chamber. The out valve is configured to provide fuel to the throat.

Tolerance and wear compensation of a fuel pump
A method for calibrating a fuel pump for use in a fuel supply system of a device having internal combustion engine includes determining a tolerance-conditioned and wear-conditioned deviation of the fuel pump with respect to its delivery behavior so that the calibration permits energy-consumption-optimized actuation of the fuel pump.
Fluid pump assembly
A fluid transfer pump assembly that includes a motor enclosure assembly that forms a motor cavity sized to receive a motor. The motor enclosure includes a flame path that extends from an interior joint to an exterior joint. The interior joint faces the motor cavity and the exterior joint faces exterior of the motor enclosure assembly. A heat sink is located in the motor cavity of the motor enclosure assembly. A portion of the heat sink abuts the interior joint.
