A fuel pump system for a turbomachine engine can include a boost pump driven by an electric motor and configured to be in fluid communication with a fuel tank, a primary pump configured to be driven by a shaft connected to the turbomachine engine, wherein the primary pump is in fluid communication with the boost pump downstream of the boost pump by a boost branch, a bypass flow branch that connects the boost branch to a downstream branch that is downstream of the primary pump, the downstream branch is in fluid communication with one or more metering valves and/or one or more fuel nozzles, and a bypass valve disposed in the bypass flow branch and/or the downstream branch and configured to selectively directly fluidly communicate the boost branch and the downstream branch.

High-pressure fuel supply pump

A high-pressure fuel supply pump in which a relief valve mechanism is not detached by a force generated by a differential pressure between an inlet side and an output side of a relief valve mechanism is obtained. According to the present invention, in order to obtain the high-pressure fuel supply pump, the relief valve mechanism of the high-pressure fuel supply pump is oriented from a downstream side of a discharge valve to an upstream side of the discharge valve, and the output side of the relief valve mechanism is inserted from the upstream side of the discharge valve into the pump housing, and the relief valve mechanism is fixed with press fitting. Therefore, a force exerted by the differential pressure between the inlet side pressure and the output side pressure of the relief valve mechanism is exerted in a direction in which the relief valve mechanism is inserted, so that the relief valve mechanism can be prevented from being detached.

ENGINE STOPPING DEVICE

There is provided an engine stopping device including a stopping solenoid, where an operating shaft, interlocked to a control rack of a fuel injection pump, is rotatably supported by an engine case in a pass-through manner. The control rack is forcibly movable to a stopping position by an action of the stopping solenoid on an operation arm provided for a projecting portion of the operating shaft in an integrally rotatable manner. An extending-retracting rod of the stopping solenoid and the operation arm are interlocked by fitting engagement between a pin provided for the extending-retracting rod and a cut-out portion of the operation arm. The cut-out portion is configured in a shape elongated along a direction perpendicular to a movement trajectory of the extending-retracting rod.

Method for accelerating the warming-up of a motor vehicle power unit in order to place it under operating conditions for testing and/or for a maintenance operation

A method for accelerating the warming-up of a power unit of a vehicle including an internal combustion engine, the unit needing to undergo a test and/or maintenance operation during which the vehicle remains stationary with its engine running, the unit needing to have achieved a minimum operating temperature prior to the test and/or the operation, the unit including a fuel injection system with a high-pressure pump supplying pressurized fuel to one or more injectors, the pressurizing of the fuel by the pump being controlled according to a combustion configuration that requires a nominal pressure value dependent on operating parameters including an engine speed and engine torque, the method including a step of warming up the unit by maintaining a greatly accelerated idling speed, which is effected at a modified pressure value higher than the nominal pressure value.

A lubricity estimation device is applied to a fuel supply system that supplies a fuel to an internal combustion engine, and includes a mixing ratio estimation unit and a lubrication index calculation unit. The mixing ratio estimation unit estimates the mixing ratio of each of plural types of molecular structures included in the fuel. The lubrication index calculation unit calculates a lubrication index, representing the lubricity of an outer peripheral portion S1 of the piston of a fuel pump and an outer peripheral portion of the valve body of a fuel injection valve by the fuel, based on the mixing ratio estimated by the mixing ratio estimation unit.
