A high-pressure fuel pump includes a pump housing, a receiving space in the pump housing, a pressure pulsation damper in the form of a diaphragm cell having two diaphragms, which pressure pulsation damper is arranged in the receiving space, and a holding device for holding the diaphragm cell in the receiving space. The holding device includes a connection portion, which is connected to the pump housing rigidly both in an axial direction and in a radial direction. The connection portion is fastened to the pump housing, both in the axial direction and in the radial direction, to an inner lateral surface of the pump housing that delimits the receiving space.

A high-pressure pump includes a valve member that allows or blocks a flow of fuel to a pressure chamber. A needle is reciprocable inside a cylinder member. One end of the needle facing the pressure chamber is provided with the valve member. Another end of the needle is provided with a movable core that faces a fixed core in an axial direction of the needle. The high-pressure pump includes a coil assembly that includes a coil, a terminal connected to the coil, and first and second yokes that form a magnetic circuit on both sides of the coil in the axial direction. The coil assembly is between a first connection portion and a second connection portion. The first connection portion connects the coil assembly and the fixed core. The second connection portion connects the coil assembly and the cylinder member.

The present invention provides a fuel pump capable of suppressing sticking of a plunger. The fuel pump of the present invention includes a plunger 2 that reciprocates, a cylinder 6 in which a guide hole 6a that guides the reciprocating motion of the plunger 2 extends in the axial direction, and a pump body 1 that holds the cylinder 6. The pump body 1 includes a cylinder insertion hole 1g into which the cylinder 6 is inserted, and a pressurizing chamber 11 that communicates with the cylinder insertion hole 1g and has a volume increased or decreased by the reciprocating motion of the plunger 2. The cylinder 6 includes a press-fitting portion 6b press-fitted into the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder insertion hole 1g, and a groove 6d formed at a position corresponding to the press-fitting portion 6b on the inner peripheral surface of the guide hole 6a.

A pump unit for supplying fuel, preferably diesel oil, to an internal combustion engine has at least two cylinders (10), which are formed in at least one head (9), are slidingly engaged by respective pistons (13), and communicate hydraulically with respective fuel inlets (11) in the cylinders (10) via respective interposed intake valves (15) provided with respective valve bodies (16) incorporated in the head (9); the inlets (11) of all the cylinders (10) being closed by a single cover (33) fixed to the head (9).

An internal combustion engine including an intake passage fuel injection valve for injecting fuel into an intake passage and a cylinder inside fuel injection valve for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber, includes: a fuel pump pressurizing and feeding fuel, which is fed from a fuel tank, to the cylinder inside fuel injection valve; a securing part provided on a cylinder head member of the internal combustion engine to secure the fuel pump; an introducing member having heat conductivity, the introducing member connected to the fuel pump and formed with: a first introducing path for introducing fuel from the fuel tank to the fuel pump; and a second introducing path for introducing fuel from the fuel tank to the intake passage fuel injection valve; and a heat transmitting member transmitting heat between the introducing member and the securing part.

A structure for attaching a metal diaphragm damper, includes a housing, a housing cover that cooperates with the housing to define a space, and a pair of diaphragms each formed in a disk shape, the pair of diaphragms having weld portions on an outer periphery side thereof, the weld portions being welded to each other in an annular shape to form the metal diaphragm damper of which inside is filled with gas, the metal diaphragm damper being attached to the housing and the housing cover so as to be disposed in the space between the housing and the housing cover. The pair of diaphragms is provided with outer peripheral portions on the outer peripheral side of the welded portions, and the outer peripheral portions of the pair of diaphragms are held by the housing and the housing cover in a thickness direction of the pair of diaphragms.

A fuel pump for a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine includes a pump housing and a fastening section which is present on the pump housing for fastening the fuel pump to a base, in particular an engine block. The fastening section has a through opening for receiving a holding element for a fastening means, in particular a screw. At least one radially inwardly directed projection is present at least in an end region of the through opening, the end region facing the base in the installed position.

A fuel pump for a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine includes a pump housing and a fastening section which is present on the pump housing for fastening the fuel pump to a base, in particular an engine block. An adjustable fuel plate device for a diesel fuel pump is disclosed. The adjustable fuel plate device can include a fuel plate to limit travel of a governor arm of a diesel fuel pump for a diesel engine. The adjustable fuel plate device can also include a translation mechanism to move the fuel plate relative to the governor arm. Additionally, the adjustable fuel plate device can include a control system coupleable to the translation mechanism to control movement of the fuel plate during operation of the engine.

An adjustable fuel plate device for a diesel fuel pump is disclosed. The adjustable fuel plate device can include a fuel plate to limit travel of a governor arm of a diesel fuel pump for a diesel engine. The adjustable fuel plate device can also include a translation mechanism to move the fuel plate relative to the governor arm. Additionally, the adjustable fuel plate device can include a control system coupleable to the translation mechanism to control movement of the fuel plate during operation of the engine.
