COMMON RAIL SYSTEM
A common rail system for a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine, the common rail system comprising: a high pressure pump for receiving fuel from a fuel tank; at least one fuel injector for delivering fuel to the internal combustion engine; a common rail for receiving fuel from the high pressure pump through a flow path of the common rail system that connects the high pressure pump to the common rail, the common rail comprising a fuel reservoir in fluid communication with a common rail inlet and in fluid communication with the one or more fuel injectors; and a filter provided in the flow path. The filter is configured to filter fuel so as to prevent particulate matter from entering the common rail. The common rail system comprises only one filter.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING A COMBINED FILTRATION AND CALIBRATION ASSEMBLY
A combined assembly for filtering and calibrating a fuel injector arranged in an internal combustion engine, the combined filtration and calibration assembly extending along a longitudinal axis and comprising a calibration sleeve provided with a longitudinal bore and defining a multitude of filtration holes. The combined filtration and calibration assembly has a calibrated opening in the bore.
Filter Assembly
A filter assembly may include an outer insert and an inner insert. The outer insert having an aperture and a plurality of outer grooves. The outer grooves are formed in a radially outer periphery of the outer insert and are separated from each other and the aperture. The inner insert may be disposed within the aperture. A plurality of inner grooves may be formed in a radially outer periphery of the inner insert. Each of the outer and inner grooves may have a closed axial end and an open axial end.
Fuel flow limiter assembly having integral fuel filter and fuel system using same
A fuel flow limiter assembly includes a limiter body forming a central bore, and including a shutoff piston within the central bore having a closing hydraulic surface exposed to a fluid pressure of the fuel inlet, and being movable from an open position, to a closed position based on a fuel pressure drop from a fuel inlet to a fuel outlet in the limiter assembly. A fuel filter is resident in the limiter assembly and supported in a connector coupled to the limiter body. The fuel filter is elongate and projects from the connector into a fuel flow path from the fuel inlet to the fuel outlet.
Fuel Injector with Internal Filter Element
A fuel injector for a common rail fuel system includes an energizer section, an injector section, and control section axially disposed along an injector axis. To control and injection event, the control section includes a control orifice manifold that has a plurality of control orifices and control passages to distribute high pressure fuel with the injector assembly. To prevent plugging of the control orifices and passages, an internal filter element with a plurality of filtration orifices is located in proximity to the control orifice manifold.
SEALING SLEEVE AND SEALING ARRANGEMENT HAVING SEALING SLEEVE
The present invention relates to a sealing sleeve for the separated supply and discharge of a cooling medium that comprises a sealing member that is pivotally symmetrical about the longitudinal axis, a protrusion projecting radially outwardly with respect to the longitudinal axis at the upper longitudinal end of the sleeve member, a protrusion projecting radially outwardly with respect to the longitudinal axis at the lower longitudinal end of the sleeve member, a first web section and a second web section of which each one extends in the axial direction of the sleeve member and connects the upper protrusion to the lower protrusion, and a first wall region and a second wall region of which each one is bounded in the axial direction by the upper and lower protrusions and in the peripheral direction by the first and second web sections and is radially inward offset with respect to these elements, with the upper protrusion and the lower protrusion each extending continuously around the total periphery of the sleeve member and defining its maximum radial extent, and with the first wall region and the second wall region each having a radially extending passage channel to radially supply or discharge a cooling medium.
FILTRATION DEVICE FOR A COMMON RAIL FUEL INJECTOR
A filtration device may include a securement section and a filter. The securement section may be configured to be threadably secured to and extend within an interior of a common rail fuel injector. The securement section may include a passage for fuel. The passage may extend in a direction along a central axis of the securement section. The filter may be configured to be positioned within the interior of the common rail fuel injector to filter the fuel flowing through the common rail fuel injector. The filter may include a plurality of holes that are fluidly connecting to the passage of the securement section. The diameter of the filter may be smaller than a diameter of the securement section.
Filter for a Fluid Injection Valve and a Fluid Injection Valve
Various embodiments include an adjusting filter for a fluid injector valve comprising: an elongate filter sleeve having an inlet and an outlet; and a filter insert. The filter sleeve includes a filter accepting section at the inlet, a press-fit section, a centring section at the outlet, and a spring engaging surface surrounding the outlet. The press-fit section is arranged between the filter accepting section and the centring section. The filter insert is arranged in the filter accepting section. The filter accepting section has an outer diameter smaller than an outer diameter of the press-fit section. The centring section has an outer diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the press-fit section.
