A high-pressure fuel pump includes a pressure-limiting valve that opens from a high-pressure region of the high-pressure fuel pump towards a compression chamber or towards a low-pressure region of the high-pressure fuel pump. The pressure-limiting valve includes a valve body with a valve seat surface that tapers against the opening direction of the pressure-limiting valve, a spherical valve element, and a valve spring, which presses the spherical valve element against the opening direction of the pressure-limiting valve towards the valve seat surface. When the pressure-limiting valve is closed, the valve element and the valve seat surface bear against one another over a contact line, and a gap is formed between the valve element and valve body, next to the contact line. This gap is asymmetrically narrower upstream of the contact line than downstream of the contact line.

A first connector is included at a first circumferential end of the outer support and a second connector is included at a second circumferential end of the outer support opposite the first circumferential end. The first and second connectors are each configured to connect each manifold passage with a manifold passages of a respective outer support of a circumferentially adjacent injection system segment. The system includes a circumferentially extending inner support and a plurality of circumferentially spaced apart feed arms extending radially between the inner support and the outer support. A plurality of outlet openings extend in an axial direction from each feed arm for feeding respective injection nozzles.

A force exerted upon the spring seat assembly by the pressure regulating spring corresponds to a desirable fuel pressure. The spring seat assembly is configured to unseal the opening in the fuel filter housing responsive to a fuel pressure greater than the desirable fuel pressure.

The invention relates to a device for supplying a gaseous fuel to an engine that comprises a gas accumulator for receiving highly pressurized gaseous fuel, a gas buffer for receiving medium pressurized gaseous fuel, a gas supply device for delivering a gaseous fuel into an engine combustion space, a first gas line that connects the gas accumulator to the gas buffer and whose gas flow can be regulated via a first valve, a second gas line that connects the gas accumulator to the gas buffer and whose gas flow can be regulated via a second valve, and a third gas line that connects the gas buffer to the gas supply device. The device is further characterized in that a compressor is arranged in the second gas line to increase a pressure of a gaseous fuel flowing from the gas accumulator to the gas buffer.

The high-pressure fuel supply pump includes a pump body 1 having a pressurizing chamber 11 therein, a damper cover 14 forming a damper chamber 10 together with the pump body 1 on the upstream side of the pressurizing chamber 11, a metal damper 9 that is disposed in the damper cover 10 and formed by laminating two metal diaphragms, and a first holding member 9a that is disposed in the damper chamber 10 and presses and holds the metal damper 9 from one side. The first holding member 9a includes a first regulation portion that regulates the radial movement of the metal damper 9, and a second regulation portion that regulates the radial movement of the first holding member 9a in the damper chamber 10. At a position of the second regulation portion, a flow path is formed which allows the fuel in the damper chamber 10 to circulate to both surfaces of the metal damper 9.
