The invention relates to an arrangement for connecting at least one fuel injection valve with a fuel distributor of a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine, which fuel distributor is detachably fastened to a cylinder head, wherein the at least one fuel injection valve is detachably fastened by means of a fixing element to a mounting element of the fuel distributor. It is provided that a non-cylinder-facing surface of the mounting element of the fuel distributor and a cylinder-facing surface of the fixing element, in the assembled state of the cylinder head and fuel distributor and also the fuel injection valve, are configured as contact surfaces, by means of which, through attachment of the fixing element to the fuel injection valve, it is possible to bring about an axial fixing and a radial orientation of the fuel injection valve in the cylinder head and in the mounting element of the fuel distribution rail.
PIPE CONNECTION ARRANGEMENT FOR A FLUID MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
A pipe connection arrangement for a fluid management system includes a pipe nut for releasably connecting an end portion of a pipe to a fluid port of the fluid management system. The pipe nut has a first portion having a toothed outer profile and a second portion configured to engage with a connection point portion of said fluid management system. An elongated drive member having a first end portion with a toothed outer profile is configured to cooperate with the toothed outer profile of the pipe nut, the first end portion further being configured to concentrically engage with a supplementary guide member adapted to be fixedly arranged adjacent the connection point portion of said fluid management system. When the elongated drive member is in engagement with the supplementary guide member, and the second portion of the pipe nut is in engagement with the connection point portion, the toothed outer profile and the toothed outer profile of the pipe nut are permitted to mesh together such that a rotation of said elongated drive member causes a corresponding rotation of the pipe nut for clamping the end portion to the fluid port or unclamping the end portion from the fluid port.
FILTER FOR FUEL INJECTORS
A filter for filtering hydraulic fluid in a hydraulically actuated fuel injector. The filter includes a first disc structure and a second disc structure disposed axially spaced apart from the first disc structure. The second disc structure is also disposed parallel to the first disc structure. The filter further includes an intermediate structure extending from the first disc structure to the second disc structure. The intermediate structure includes a first surface and a second surface disposed opposite and parallel to the first surface. The intermediate structure defines a plurality of passages extending from the first surface to the second surface. Each of the plurality of passages is perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the filter.
STAMPED PUMP ACTUATOR AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLING SAME
A pump actuator for use between a cam and a pump includes an outer body, an inner body, an axle and a bearing. The outer body has an outer body inner surface. The inner body is received by the outer body. The inner body has an inner body outer surface. The axle is supported by the inner body. The bearing is supported on the axle. The inner body includes at least one stamped feature protruding outwardly from the inner body outer surface. The at least one stamped feature is configured to form an interference fit with the outer body inner surface.
Fuel injector assembly
Various embodiments include a fuel injector assembly for an internal combustion engine comprising: an injector cup; a securing device to fasten the injector cup to the engine; wherein a first end of the injector cup remote from the fuel inlet port comprises an outwardly extending flange; a connector abutting the flange, wherein the injector cup and the fuel injector are secured together through the connector; and a fastening bracket supported on the flange, wherein the injector cup and the connector are secured through the fastening bracket by a fastening device. The fastening device comprises a U-shaped clip with a first arm disposed between a clamping face of the fastening device and the fastening bracket and a second arm generally parallel to the first arm disposed on the opposite side of the fastening bracket.
ARRANGEMENT OF A FUEL INJECTION VALVE ON A FUEL DISTRIBUTOR OF AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
High pressure fluid connection
A fuel injection system for an internal combustion engine includes an injector having a first orifice to which is tightly connected a pipe having a matching first orifice. Both orifices are surrounded with peripheral smooth surfaces that are complementary surfaces sealingly pressed against each other by a clamping plate.
