The invention provides a valve having an elongated main body and a substantially flat area defined within the valve between its first and second ends; wherein a stopping screw is received in said flat area so as to prevent extraction of the valve from a casing by applying a force against a portion of the valve once the valve is moved a predetermined number of turns. The invention also provides a method for inhibiting the turning of a valve having the steps of installing a threaded portion of a valve in a first threaded aperture through a casing, where the first threaded aperture receives the threads of the threaded portion of the valve; and threading a screw through a second threaded aperture in an exterior of the casing, where the screw, is disposed in a position to come into direct contact with the valve after a predetermined number of turns.

Distributor apparatus of a common-rail system

A distributor apparatus of a common rail system for an internal combustion engine. The distributor apparatus is designed with at least one distributor device having a high-pressure line for fuel and a plurality of feed lines branching off from the high-pressure line within the distributor device. Each feed line leads to an individual accumulator and an injector. The feed line is associated with a restriction device and a discharge bore, which is designed to cooperate with a pressure-measuring device and which is arranged downstream of the restriction device, such that the restriction device is arranged in the feed line and the discharge bore, arranged in the distributor device, is connected to the feed line downstream of the restriction device.

Fuel injector

A fuel injector includes an upper housing having an outer peripheral surface; a nozzle tip with a nozzle opening which serves as an outlet to fuel from the fuel injector; and a valve needle which is selectively moveable between a first position which prevents fuel flow and a second position which permits fuel flow. The fuel injector also includes an inlet sleeve which includes an inner peripheral surface which circumferentially surrounds, and mates with, the outer peripheral surface of the upper housing. The inlet sleeve is fixed to the upper housing, thereby preventing relative movement between the inlet sleeve and the upper housing. The inlet sleeve includes external threads which are configured to mate with complementary internal threads of a nut which secures a fuel supply conduit to the upper housing.

A fluid distributor rail for an injection system for mixture-compressing, externally ignited internal combustion engines for metering a highly pressurized fluid. The fluid distributor rail includes a base body, and at least one connector configured on the base body. The base body with the at least one connector configured on the base body is formed by single stage or multistage forging. At least one interior space of the base body and a hydraulic fluid passage which leads into the interior space via the at least one connector configured on the base body are formed on the base body by machining after the forging. At least one element for connection is formed at least in part by mechanical cold-forming on at least one connector configured on the base body.

NOZZLE OF A FUEL INJECTOR AND FUEL INJECTOR HAVING SUCH A NOZZLE

The present invention relates to a nozzle of a fuel injector that comprises a pivotably symmetrical nozzle body having a hollow space for introducing a nozzle needle, a nozzle tip that is provided at one longitudinal end of the nozzle body and has openings for discharging fuel, a housing contact surface that is provided at the other longitudinal end of the nozzle body and serves the pressing at a housing of a fuel injector, and an overhang surface that is provided in the longitudinal extent of the nozzle body between the nozzle tip and the housing contact service and that serves the placement of a nozzle clamping nut. The nozzle is characterized in that the minimal distance of the pivot axis of the nozzle body from the overhang surface is smaller than the minimal distance of the pivot axis of the nozzle body from the housing contact surface.

FILTRATION DEVICE FOR A COMMON RAIL FUEL INJECTOR

A filtration device may include a securement section and a filter. The securement section may be configured to be threadably secured to and extend within an interior of a common rail fuel injector. The securement section may include a passage for fuel. The passage may extend in a direction along a central axis of the securement section. The filter may be configured to be positioned within the interior of the common rail fuel injector to filter the fuel flowing through the common rail fuel injector. The filter may include a plurality of holes that are fluidly connecting to the passage of the securement section. The diameter of the filter may be smaller than a diameter of the securement section.

Fuel injector with internal radial seal with thin wall counterbore

A fuel injector body includes an at least partially annular configuration defining a longitudinal axis, a circumferential direction, and a radial direction. A first counterbore and a first cavity extend from the first end toward the second end, and an external interface portion includes a sealing surface disposed axially between the first end and a shoulder. The first cavity defines a bottom surface and a peripheral surface defining a first cavity diameter, and the sealing surface defines a sealing surface diameter. A ratio of the sealing surface diameter to the first cavity diameter ranges from 0.3 to 4.4.
