ARRANGEMENT FOR RETAINING A FUEL INJECTOR TO A FUEL RAIL SOCKET
A fuel injector retention arrangement includes an interior space which extends into a fuel rail socket along an axis. A retention flange of a fuel injector extends radially outward therefrom such that the retention flange is disposed within the interior space. A slot extends radially from the interior space to a fuel rail socket exterior surface and a retention groove extends radially outward from the interior space. A retainer includes a first leg extending through the slot and a second leg extending through the slot, the first leg and the second leg being connected to each other at one end by a retainer base. A lobe of the first leg extends into the retention groove and supports the retention flange and a lobe of the second leg extends into the retention groove and supports the retention flange, thereby retaining the fuel injector to the fuel rail socket.
Fuel delivery system
A fuel delivery system for an engine includes a fuel rail cup, a fuel injector, and a retainer clip. The fuel rail cup extends along a longitudinal axis and defines an opening that extends radially outward from the longitudinal axis. The fuel injector has an upper end that is disposed within the opening such that the cup and fuel injector are aligned along the longitudinal axis. The retainer clip has a central body and at least one prong that protrudes upward from the central body. The central body engages the fuel injector and the at least one prong engages the fuel rail cup such that the clip inhibits axial movement of the fuel injector relative to the fuel rail cup along the longitudinal axis and such that the clip inhibits rotation of the fuel injector relative to the fuel rail cup about the longitudinal axis.
Fuel delivery system
A fuel delivery system for an engine includes a fuel rail, a fuel injector, and a clip. The fuel rail has a cup that defines an opening. The fuel injector has an upper end that is disposed within the opening such that the cup and fuel injector are axially aligned. The clip is secured to the fuel injector and engages the cup to orient the fuel injector radially relative to the cup. The clip has a tab that extends outward relative to the fuel injector. The tab defines a central orifice that is configured to receive a fastener. The fastener is configured to mount a wire harness.

Metering valve for metering a fluid which serves in particular for fuel injection systems, mounting system for injection systems, and injection system having such a metering valve
A fuel injection valve of a fuel injection system includes a connector piece that is insertable at least partly into a receiving space of a connector body of a fluid-conveying component. In the installed state a support part is disposed on the connector piece, and the connector piece is mounted via the support part on the connector body. The support part has a spherical support surface with which the support part braces at least indirectly against the connector body in order to implement the mounting of the connector piece directly or indirectly on the connector body.
Holding component and fuel injection assembly for an internal combustion engine
Various embodiments include a holding component for securing a fuel injector to an injector cup comprising: a U-shaped holding element with two parallel supporting arms for engaging opposite sides of an annular groove in the fuel injector to secure the fuel injector in the injector cup; a base part; two resilient arms extending from the base part for engaging the outer surface of the injector cup; and a depending leg engageable in a corresponding receiving part on the fuel injector to accurately position the fuel injector angularly relative to the injector cup.
INJECTOR TEST MACHINE
A fuel injector test machine is provided such that an injector is fixed on a test feature with a manually operable clamp.
Arrangement of a fuel injection valve on a fuel distributor of an internal combustion engine
The invention relates to an arrangement for connecting at least one fuel injection valve with a fuel distributor of a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine, which fuel distributor is detachably fastened to a cylinder head, wherein the at least one fuel injection valve is detachably fastened by means of a fixing element to a mounting element of the fuel distributor. It is provided that a non-cylinder-facing surface of the mounting element of the fuel distributor and a cylinder-facing surface of the fixing element, in the assembled state of the cylinder head and fuel distributor and also the fuel injection valve, are configured as contact surfaces, by means of which, through attachment of the fixing element to the fuel injection valve, it is possible to bring about an axial fixing and a radial orientation of the fuel injection valve in the cylinder head and in the mounting element of the fuel distribution rail.
Fuel Injector Cup, Fuel Injector Cup Assembly, Fuel Injector Assembly And Methods For Producing The Same
Various embodiments may include a fuel injector cup assembly comprising: a fuel injector cup; a fastening bracket for securing a fuel injector to the cup; and a clamping arm for fastening the cup to an engine. The cup has a main body part with an internal volume. The cup comprises a one-piece body defining the main body part and an inlet stub containing a fuel inlet port hydraulically connectable to the fuel source. The stub has a first external dimension. The main body part has a second external dimension larger than the first external dimension to provide a shoulder supporting the clamping arm. An end of the cup remote from the stub has an outwardly extending flange supporting the fastening bracket.
Injection system, in particular fuel injection system, having a fluid-conveying component, a metering valve, and a mounting system
A mounting system for fuel injection systems connects a fuel injection valve to a fluid-conveying component and includes a connector piece of the metering valve being inserted at least partly into a receiving space of a connector body of the component; a support part disposed on the connector piece; a decoupling element; a dished disk inserted into a receiving space of the connector body and immobilized along a longitudinal axis of the receiving space relative to the connector body. The support part has a spherical support surface that faces toward a dished surface of the dished disk.
