Fuel delivery system
A fuel delivery system for an engine includes a fuel rail cup, a fuel injector, and a retainer clip. The fuel rail cup extends along a longitudinal axis and defines an opening that extends radially outward from the longitudinal axis. The fuel injector has an upper end that is disposed within the opening such that the cup and fuel injector are aligned along the longitudinal axis. The retainer clip has a central body and at least one prong that protrudes upward from the central body. The central body engages the fuel injector and the at least one prong engages the fuel rail cup such that the clip inhibits axial movement of the fuel injector relative to the fuel rail cup along the longitudinal axis and such that the clip inhibits rotation of the fuel injector relative to the fuel rail cup about the longitudinal axis.
Fuel delivery system
A fuel delivery system for an engine includes a fuel rail, a fuel injector, and a clip. The fuel rail has a cup that defines an opening. The fuel injector has an upper end that is disposed within the opening such that the cup and fuel injector are axially aligned. The clip is secured to the fuel injector and engages the cup to orient the fuel injector radially relative to the cup. The clip has a tab that extends outward relative to the fuel injector. The tab defines a central orifice that is configured to receive a fastener. The fastener is configured to mount a wire harness.

Fuel injector
A fuel injector is described which is able to be preassembled in a receiving opening of a fuel-distributor line in a loss-proof manner in a structural unit in the form of a fuel charge assembly for transport to the final assembly at the vehicle manufacturer. A radial support disk for preventing the loss of the fuel injector is disposed on the inflow-side end of the inlet pipe by press-fitting the radial support disk in the receiving opening. The fuel injector is particularly suitable for the direct injection of fuel into a combustion chamber of a mixture-compressing internal combustion engine having externally supplied ignition.
Metering valve for metering a fluid which serves in particular for fuel injection systems, mounting system for injection systems, and injection system having such a metering valve
A fuel injection valve of a fuel injection system includes a connector piece that is insertable at least partly into a receiving space of a connector body of a fluid-conveying component. In the installed state a support part is disposed on the connector piece, and the connector piece is mounted via the support part on the connector body. The support part has a spherical support surface with which the support part braces at least indirectly against the connector body in order to implement the mounting of the connector piece directly or indirectly on the connector body.
RAIL FOR HIGH-PRESSURE DIRECT INJECTION
The present invention aims for obtaining a fuel rail for gasoline direct injection which can be used for the direct injection at a high fuel pressure of 50 MPa or more by increasing the thickness at the portion near the branch hole and using the material having high thickness for the metal seal portion while keeping the weight light and keeping the cost low. A fuel rail for gasoline direct injection made of steel and used at a fuel pressure of 50 MPa or more, the fuel rail having: a plurality of block members 2; and a pipe member 1 which connects an interval between the block members, wherein the block members 2 have: a branch hole 3 which communicates with the pipe member 1; and a metal seal portion 6 to which an injector is connected, and the hardness of the block members 2 is higher than the hardness of the pipe member 1.
Arrangement of a fuel injection valve on a fuel distributor of an internal combustion engine
The invention relates to an arrangement for connecting at least one fuel injection valve with a fuel distributor of a fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine, which fuel distributor is detachably fastened to a cylinder head, wherein the at least one fuel injection valve is detachably fastened by means of a fixing element to a mounting element of the fuel distributor. It is provided that a non-cylinder-facing surface of the mounting element of the fuel distributor and a cylinder-facing surface of the fixing element, in the assembled state of the cylinder head and fuel distributor and also the fuel injection valve, are configured as contact surfaces, by means of which, through attachment of the fixing element to the fuel injection valve, it is possible to bring about an axial fixing and a radial orientation of the fuel injection valve in the cylinder head and in the mounting element of the fuel distribution rail.
FUEL INJECTOR CUP WITH FLOW RESTRICTION PASSAGE
In some examples, a fuel injector rail assembly may include a fuel rail including a tubular body, with a fuel outlet passage formed through a wall of the tubular body. An injector cup may be connected to the tubular body and may include an injector chamber configured to receive a fuel injector. A first fuel passage formed in the injector cup may include a first diameter, and the first fuel passage may be connected to the fuel outlet passage of the tubular body. Additionally, a second fuel passage may be formed in the injector cup between the first fuel passage and the injector chamber. The second fuel passage may have a second diameter that is smaller than the first diameter of the first fuel passage.
Fuel Injector Cup, Fuel Injector Cup Assembly, Fuel Injector Assembly And Methods For Producing The Same
Various embodiments may include a fuel injector cup assembly comprising: a fuel injector cup; a fastening bracket for securing a fuel injector to the cup; and a clamping arm for fastening the cup to an engine. The cup has a main body part with an internal volume. The cup comprises a one-piece body defining the main body part and an inlet stub containing a fuel inlet port hydraulically connectable to the fuel source. The stub has a first external dimension. The main body part has a second external dimension larger than the first external dimension to provide a shoulder supporting the clamping arm. An end of the cup remote from the stub has an outwardly extending flange supporting the fastening bracket.
