Fuel delivery system
A fuel delivery system for an engine includes a fuel rail cup, a fuel injector, and a retainer clip. The fuel rail cup extends along a longitudinal axis and defines an opening that extends radially outward from the longitudinal axis. The fuel injector has an upper end that is disposed within the opening such that the cup and fuel injector are aligned along the longitudinal axis. The retainer clip has a central body and at least one prong that protrudes upward from the central body. The central body engages the fuel injector and the at least one prong engages the fuel rail cup such that the clip inhibits axial movement of the fuel injector relative to the fuel rail cup along the longitudinal axis and such that the clip inhibits rotation of the fuel injector relative to the fuel rail cup about the longitudinal axis.
Intake Assembly
An intake assembly for an internal combustion engine, includes an intake manifold including a first plenum and a plurality of intake runners, the first plenum including an air supply inlet, the intake runners configured to be couplable to a cylinder head of the engine for supplying an air-fuel mixture thereto, the intake manifold configured such that, in use, air is supplied from the air supply inlet to the intake runners via the first plenum; a plurality of fuel injectors, each arranged to inject a fuel into one of the intake runners; and a fuel rail coupled to the plurality of fuel injectors, the fuel rail including a fuel supply inlet, and configured to supply fuel from the fuel supply inlet to the plurality of fuel injectors, in use. The fuel rail is mounted to the first plenum.
Fuel supply device for internal combustion engine
A fuel supply device for an internal combustion engine includes a plurality of fuel injection valves that are disposed side by side in an engine main body or in an intake system component forming part of an intake system, and a fuel distribution pipe that is connected in common to the fuel injection valves and supported via a support part provided on the intake system component or on the engine main body, wherein the fuel distribution pipe is formed from a pipe material, and a restricting member that is a separate member from the fuel distribution pipe is mounted on the support part at a position adjacent to the fuel distribution pipe so as to abut against the fuel distribution pipe to suppress displacement of the fuel distribution pipe from the support part. Thus, it is possible to suppress displacement of fuel piping while ensuring the mass productivity.
RAIL FOR HIGH-PRESSURE DIRECT INJECTION
The present invention aims for obtaining a fuel rail for gasoline direct injection which can be used for the direct injection at a high fuel pressure of 50 MPa or more by increasing the thickness at the portion near the branch hole and using the material having high thickness for the metal seal portion while keeping the weight light and keeping the cost low. A fuel rail for gasoline direct injection made of steel and used at a fuel pressure of 50 MPa or more, the fuel rail having: a plurality of block members 2; and a pipe member 1 which connects an interval between the block members, wherein the block members 2 have: a branch hole 3 which communicates with the pipe member 1; and a metal seal portion 6 to which an injector is connected, and the hardness of the block members 2 is higher than the hardness of the pipe member 1.
Engine Device
An engine includes a common rail attached to one side portion of a cylinder block that pivotally supports a crankshaft in a rotatable mariner, the one side portion extending along a crankshaft center, and the common rail being configured to supply a fuel to the engine. A flywheel housing that accommodates a flywheel that is rotated integrally with the crankshaft is disposed in one side portion out of opposite side portions of the cylinder block intersecting the one side portion. One end portion of the common rail is disposed above the flywheel housing.
Fuel Injector Cup, Fuel Injector Cup Assembly, Fuel Injector Assembly And Methods For Producing The Same
Various embodiments may include a fuel injector cup assembly comprising: a fuel injector cup; a fastening bracket for securing a fuel injector to the cup; and a clamping arm for fastening the cup to an engine. The cup has a main body part with an internal volume. The cup comprises a one-piece body defining the main body part and an inlet stub containing a fuel inlet port hydraulically connectable to the fuel source. The stub has a first external dimension. The main body part has a second external dimension larger than the first external dimension to provide a shoulder supporting the clamping arm. An end of the cup remote from the stub has an outwardly extending flange supporting the fastening bracket.
FUEL DISTRIBUTION PIPE
There is provided a fuel distribution pipe 10 that distributes and supplies fuel supplied from a fuel pipe 2 to a plurality of fuel injection devices 3. The fuel distribution pipe 10 includes a pipe part 11 that stores the fuel in a high-pressure state, and a plurality of housings 12 that are joined to the pipe part 11 and supply the fuel to the fuel injection devices 3. A first housing 12A from among the plurality of housings 12 includes a first connection opening 17 that is connected to the fuel pipe 2 and communicates with the pipe part 11.
Fuel rail
A fuel rail for an engine includes a tubular body having an outer surface and an inner surface, the inner surface defining a longitudinally extending fuel bore. The fuel rail also includes a valve bore extending normal to the fuel bore and extending through the outer surface of the tubular body at a first end and completely through the fuel bore to a second end.
