IGNITION SYSTEM WITH SINGLE ACTION START FAULT CORRECTION
A method of enabling operation of an ignition system for outdoor power equipment may include monitoring status of a plurality of switches associated with respective components of the equipment where at least one of the respective components corresponds to one or more binary start fault operators, and setting a start enabling status for the one or more 5 binary start fault operators responsive to actuation of a start fault clearance operator.
SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING TORQUE APPLIED TO ROTATING SHAFT OF ENGINE
In a system for controlling rotation of torque applied to a rotating shaft of an engine of a vehicle that uses the engine as a drive source thereof, a motor is provided. A main controller controls the engine and the motor. The main controller selectably activates the motor that applies first torque to the rotating shaft of the engine, and deactivates the motor. A rotary electric machine includes a rotor connected to the rotating shaft of the engine. A rotation parameter detector measures a rotation parameter associated with rotation of the rotor of the rotary electric machine. A sequence controller performs, in response to an occurrence of a trigger situation, a control sequence that controls, independently of the main controller, the rotary electric machine based on the rotation parameter measured by the rotation parameter detector, thus applying second torque to the rotating shaft of the engine.
System and method for outputting filter monitoring system information via telematics
A filter monitoring system and method are described. The filter monitoring system includes a remote telematics system, and a data link between the remote telematics system and an onboard telematics system. The remote telematics system is configured to receive, via the data link, an indication of a pressure drop across a filter cartridge of the filtration system from the onboard telematics system, determine a first value indicative of a remaining filter life of the filter cartridge of the filtration system, determine a second value indicative of a remaining filter life of the filter cartridge that is determined in a different manner than the first value, compare the first value to the second value to determine which value indicates a least amount of life remaining for the filter cartridge, and transmit an indication of the least amount of life remaining for the filter cartridge based on the comparison.
IGNITION OVERCURRENT PROTECTION DEVICE, STARTING POWER EQUIPMENT AND IGNITION OVERCURRENT PROTECTION METHOD
This present disclosure discloses an ignition overcurrent protection device, which includes a switch, a current detection circuit, and a controller. The switch is electrically coupled between a starting power and a power-on connector; the power-on connector is configured for connecting to the automotive power. The current detection circuit is configured for detecting a current value flowing between the starting power and the power-on connector. The controller is coupled to the switch and the current detection circuit. The controller is configured to determine a current range where the current value is located, and determine a preset time threshold corresponding to the current range, and control the switch to be turned off when a duration of the current value reaches the preset time threshold. The present disclosure also provides a starting power equipment and ignition overcurrent protection.
METHODS AND SYSTEM FOR EVALUATING AN ENGINE FOR HYDROLOCK
Systems and methods for operating an engine that may be rotated by an electric machine during engine starting are described. In one example, an amount of electric current that is available to rotate the engine via the electric machine may be adjusted in response to an indication that a vehicle that includes the engine may be parked in a geographical area that may be flooded.
Protection device for preventing automobile engines from abnormal starts and control method thereof
A protection device for preventing automobile engines from abnormal starts comprises automobile batteries (10), a start motor (20) and a control circuit (30) disposed therebetween. The control circuit (30) comprises a main control unit MCU1, a start switch (31), a start relay (321) and a power supply relay (322), the coil of the start relay (321) being connected to the automobile batteries (10) through the normally closed contact of the power supply relay (322). The start relay in the present invention is connected to the batteries rather than directly but through the normally closed contact of the power supply relay. In addition to being controlled by the main control unit, the start relay is also controlled by the power supply relay, thereby providing additional insurance and more effective protection so as to avoid the damage of the start motor due to erroneous actions.
Control Apparatus For Electric Rotating Machine
A control apparatus includes a first determination section determining whether a power-supply voltage has decreased below a first threshold value, an interruption section interrupting a current flow to an inverter if the voltage has decreased below the first threshold value, a second determination section that determining whether the power-supply voltage has increased above a second threshold value, an interruption releasing section releasing the interruption based on the fact that the voltage has increased above the second threshold value, a count section counting the number of interruptions, a limiting section determining whether the decrease in the power-supply voltage is caused by a first factor of an electric rotating machine or a second factor, and limits the counting if the decrease in the power-supply voltage is caused by the second factor, and a third determination section determining whether the interruption is allowed to be released based on the number of interruptions.
VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING ROTARY ELECTRIC MACHINE
A vehicle includes a rotary electric machine, an internal combustion engine, a temperature sensor, and a limiter. The rotary electric machine generates power to move the vehicle. The internal combustion engine is started by the rotary electric machine to generate power to move the vehicle. The temperature sensor detects temperature of the rotary electric machine or of a drive circuit for the rotary electric machine. The limiter restricts the power generated by the rotary electric machine if the temperature is higher than a first threshold temperature. The start prohibitor prohibits the rotary electric machine from starting the internal combustion engine if the temperature is higher than a second threshold temperature which is higher than the first threshold temperature.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR REMOTELY STARTING MANUAL TRANSMISSION VEHICLE
A method for remotely starting a manual transmission vehicle is provided. The method includes determining whether remote start of the manual transmission vehicle is possible based on a remote start command signal of a remote start input device, an inclination angle signal value of the manual transmission vehicle, a notch signal value generated when a parking brake of the manual transmission vehicle is operated by moving a lever of the parking brake, and a gear shift stage signal of a manual transmission of the manual transmission vehicle. An engine of the manual transmission is started when the notch signal value according to the inclination angle signal value is greater than or equal to a minimum value of notch signal values capable of remotely starting the manual transmission vehicle and the gear shift stage signal is a neutral stage signal.
