Remote startup system and center server

A remote startup system includes a terminal of a user, a center server that is configured to communicate with the terminal, and a vehicle that is configured to communicate with the center server, and starts up an engine of the vehicle according to a startup request transmitted from the terminal to the center server. The remote startup system includes a position information acquisition unit that acquires position information of the vehicle, a time information acquisition unit that acquires time information, and a controller that changes a performance manner of the startup of the engine based on the startup request including whether the startup of the engine is permitted according to the position information of the vehicle and the time information when the startup request is transmitted from the terminal to the center server.

Method and system for an engine

Methods and systems are provided for relieving pressure from a compression locked engine. The engine may be compression locked during an engine start attempt due to operator application of a manual transmission clutch at or around the time of a first combustion event of the engine start. A direct injector of the compression locked cylinder is commanded open to relieve the pressure into the fuel rail.

CONTROL DEVICE

A control device obtains a specification of a vehicle-mounted device which is mounted on a vehicle, and implements a control according to the specification. The vehicle-mounted device includes a transmission unit that transmits a specific signal that enables the specification of the vehicle-mounted device to be obtained. The control device includes a receiving unit which is configured to be able to receive the specific signal, and a learning unit that learns that the specification of the vehicle-mounted device is a first specification if the receiving unit does not receive the specific signal, and learns that the specification of the vehicle-mounted device is a second specification, which is different from the first specification, when the receiving unit receives the specific signal.

VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM

A vehicle control system comprises: a roof opening-closing button (12) provided inside a passenger compartment of a vehicle and configured to accept opening and closing manipulations for a roof unit (4); and a control unit (25) configured to control an engine (2), a roof actuator (10) of the roof unit, and an air conditioner (34), wherein the control unit is operable, when the roof opening-closing button accepts the closing manipulation for shifting the roof unit from an opened state to a closed state, in a situation where the roof unit is in the opened state, and the engine is in an idle-stop state, to control the engine such that the engine being in an idle-stop state is restarted, and control the roof actuator such that the roof unit being in the opened state is shifted to the closed state.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF ENGINE STOP/START CONTROL OF AN ELECTRIFIED POWERTRAIN

Systems, apparatuses, and methods disclosed provide for receiving internal information, external static information, and external dynamic information of a hybrid vehicle, and selectively enable or disable a stop/start function for the engine of the hybrid vehicle based on the internal hybrid vehicle information, external static information, and external dynamic information. The stop/start function controls selective activation and deactivation of the engine during operation of the hybrid vehicle.

VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE

A vehicle control device configured to be capable of executing idle stop control to automatically stop an engine when a predetermined automatic stop condition is satisfied and restart the engine when a predetermined restart condition is satisfied during the automatic stop of the engine, the vehicle control device includes: a start request detector, a shift position detector, and a delay time setting module. A start request detector detects a driver operation indicating a request for starting the engine by a driver. A shift position detector detects a shift position of a shift changer. A delay time setting module sets, on a basis of presence or absence of the driver operation and the shift position, a delay time from when the engine is restarted until when an automatic stop of the engine is permitted.

ENGINE COOLING APPARATUS

Provided is an engine cooling apparatus capable of preventing deterioration in reliability of a cylinder head of an engine during cold engine operation. The engine cooling apparatus comprises an engine cooling water path, a heater core cooling path, and a radiator cooling water path, and further comprises a switching valve for switching among these cooling water paths. The switching valve is operable, when the temperature of an area around an exhaust valve is raised to a value greater than, e.g., 150 C., even in a situation where the temperature of cooling water for cooling the engine is equal to or less than, e.g., 50 C., to switch from the in-engine cooling water path to the heater core cooling water path.

Vehicle control system

A control system of a vehicle includes: an engine; a plurality of accessories including an air conditioner; a battery; a generator; and an ECU configured to automatically stop the engine, control the generator to charge or discharge the battery, inhibit the engine from being automatically stopped, calculate a first stop time as a length of time for which the engine can be automatically stopped, during operation of the air conditioner, calculate a first electric quantity as an estimated quantity of electricity consumed, calculate a second stop time as a length of time for which the vehicle is predicted to be stopped in the future, calculate a second electric quantity as an estimated quantity of electricity consumed, and determine the SOC target value, based on the first electric quantity and the second electric quantity.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR ACTIVATING A STOP/START ENGINE

Systems and methods for improving operation of a vehicle are presented. In one example, a controller notifies a human vehicle driver before electric power consumers that are electrically coupled to the vehicle are deactivated. The controller may notify the human driver in response to a state of charge of a vehicle battery.
