SNOW SLIDER WITH A DIMENSIONAL BASE
20180214765 · 2018-08-02 ·

A snow slider with a dimensional base includes a body, with top and base surfaces. The base surface is formed with more than two dimensions, and variations of the base surface include forming it with double, triple and quadruple edges. The edges of the base surface may be symmetrical or asymmetrical. The base surface may also be formed with plural facets that have angles and protrude from the base. The facets may also be formed with angles that are indented in the base. The base may also be formed with plural grooves.

SLIDING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME

There is provided a sliding apparatus having low frictional resistance with a snow surface or an ice surface and excellent sliding properties. A sliding apparatus for sliding on a sliding object (snow surface or ice surface) has a sliding surface (1) contacting the sliding object. The sliding surface (1) is divided into a plurality of regions (1A, 1B, 1C) different in the surface arithmetic mean roughness Ra, and the plurality of regions (1A, 1B, 1C) is arranged in order along the longitudinal direction. Among the plurality of regions (1A, 1B, 1C), the surface arithmetic mean roughness Ra of a front region (1A) which is a region first contacting the sliding object in sliding is smaller than the surface arithmetic mean roughness Ra of the rear region (1B) positioned rearward in the sliding direction with respect to the front region (1A).

Mechanical Traction for a Cross-Country Ski

A snow ski has a longitudinal body defining a sole for gliding on the snow. The ski includes: (a) a platform slidably coupled to the body for sliding longitudinally relative to the body; and (b) a gripping element slidably and rotatably coupled to the body and rotatably coupled to the platform. The gripping element extends downward to penetrate the snow in response to the platform being slid rearward relative to the body. The gripping element retracts upward above the sole when the platform is slid forward relative to the body. First and second gripping elements may be disposed on opposing sides of the body. A locking mechanism selectively locks the platform at a forward position, in which the gripping element is retracted, one or more intermediate positions, or a rearward position in which the gripping element extends to penetrate the snow.

A ski-traction kit for retrofitting a ski is provided.

A ski gripping system has a ski, a gripping strip and a piece of skins. The gripping strip is mounted longitudinally and laterally to an outer side of the ski along a center portion/grip zone of the ski. A width of the gripping strip is from 17 mm to 60 mm, a height of the gripping strip is from 15 mm to 25 mm, and a length of the gripping strip is from 600 mm to 800 mm. A longitudinal bottom inner edge of the gripping strip is level with an underside of the ski. An underside of the gripping strip is laterally outward sloping 5 degrees upward relative to the underside of the ski. The piece of skins is attached to the underside of the gripping strip.

Described herein is a sports board for gliding over a surface. The board includes an upper structural layer having an outer surface, a lower structural layer, a core having an upper surface substantially covered by the upper structural layer and a lower surface substantially covered by the lower structural layer. The board also includes a deformable element covered by the core on an upper surface. A first portion of the deformable element protrudes a distance beneath the lower structural layer towards a horizontal plane of the surface underlying the sports board. The board also includes a base element substantially covering the lower structural layer and the deformable element and an edge component positioned at least in part around a perimeter of the base element. At least a portion of the deformable element can deform upon application of an amount of pressure against the base element.

A piece of snow sports equipment comprises a sliding board with a sheetlike central part (110) which extends in a longitudinal direction, and two sheetlike side parts (120, 130) which are fastened to the central part (110) on both sides. The central part (110) has a sliding coating (115) on a lower side. The side parts (120, 130) can be folded over from a first position, in which a first main surface of the side parts (120, 130) is substantially co-planar with the lower side of the central part (110), into a second position, in which the side parts (120, 130) are folded under the central part (110) such that the first main surfaces of the side parts (120, 130) are supported on the lower side of the central part (110). Second main surfaces of the side parts (120, 130), which second main surfaces lie opposite the first main surfaces, have a climbing skin (125, 135).
