METHOD FOR VALIDATING A WIND POWER INSTALLATION
20260002519 · 2026-01-01 ·

In one aspect, a method for validating a wind power installation or a component thereof is disclosed. The wind power installation has an aerodynamic rotor with a plurality of rotor blades that sweep through a rotor area. For at least one of the rotor blades, an individual blade performance capability and/or an individual blade power is/are determined in each case from recorded operating data relating to the wind power installation. The individual blade performance capability describes a capability of a rotor blade to convert power from wind into a partial rotational power for rotating the rotor, and the individual blade power denotes an amount of power that is converted by the respective rotor blade from the wind into a partial rotational power for rotating the rotor. The sum of the individual blade powers of all rotor blades of the rotor is a total rotational power of the rotor.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ESTIMATING WIND FARM POWER OUTPUT

A system and method for predicting power output of a wind farm are disclosed. The method includes determining first and second parameter values of a power curve for a plurality of wind turbines. A second relationship is determined between the densities associated with the wind turbines and the values of the first parameter. A third relationship is determined between the densities associated with the wind turbines and the values of the second parameter. A value of the first parameter for a specified wind farm density is determined based on the second relationship. A value of the second parameter for the specified wind farm density is determined based on the third relationship. An indication of a power output for the specified wind farm density is generated by applying the determined values of the first and second parameters to the power curve.

Monitoring and control in a wind park

A method of controlling electrical power transported on one or more power cables of a wind park is provided. Each of the one or more power cables is configured to transport electrical power generated by one or more wind turbines comprised in the wind park. The method includes for at least one power cable of the one or more power cables monitoring one or more stress parameters indicative of stress acting on the power cable to generate a monitored stress parameter, determining, based on at least the monitored stress parameter, whether a reduction of the stress on the power cable is required, and, when the reduction is required, reducing the electrical power transported on the power cable to reduce the stress acting on the power cable.
