System For Converting Rotational Momentum Into Versatile Linear Propulsion
Disclosed are systems for converting rotational momentum into linear propulsion. A propulsion system includes one or more thrust units with masses controllably driven by actuators to generate inertia that thrusts a vehicle with the propulsion system in a desired direction. The propulsion system can be configured to have multiple units, each configured to generate thrust in a desired direction and counteract or neutralize thrust in other directions. The propulsion system can generate thrust via two operational cycles and/or through continuous operation. The propulsion system may comprise two mirroring units, each configured to operate in mirrored synchrony to generate a net thrust in a desired direction and counteract or neutralize thrust in other or undesired directions.
APPARATUS FOR CREATING CENTRIPETAL FORCE DIFFERENTIAL
A system for producing a relative centripetal force differential includes a turntable having a plurality of spoke units arranged along radial lines around the center of the turntable. Each of the spoke units is attached to the turntable and has a mass that is moved a drive unit of the respective spoke unit along the radial line, based on its present position of rotation around the center of the turntable. As the turntable is rotated mass of each spoke elements is moved such that it is at a minimum distance through a minimum distance region, at a maximum distance through a maximum distance region that is opposite the minimum distance region, and increased or decreased through transition regions on either side of the minimum and maximum distance regions.
Directional Motive Force Generation Device
A motive force generation device for generating a net resultant propulsive force vector. The device includes a mechanical drive that rotates one or more counter-rotating mass pairs about a respective axis; decreases the radius about the axis without causing external torque on the system therefore increasing the energy level of the mass; continues to rotate mass at the higher energy level; then increases the radius about the axis to its original distance. The work required to rotate mass at a higher energy state is greater than the work to rotate mass at the original state, causing an unbalanced system resulting in the net propulsive force. This force is transferred to an object to which the device is attached, effecting movement.
Directional Motive Force Generation Device
A motive force generation device for generating a net resultant propulsive force vector through reactionless drive means. The device includes a reactionless drive that rotates one or more masses about an axis, decreases the radius about the axis without causing external torque on the system therefore increasing the energy level of the mass, continues to rotate mass at the higher energy level, then increases the radius about the axis to its original distance. The work required to rotate mass at a higher energy state is greater than the work to rotate mass at the original state, causing an unbalanced system resulting in the net propulsive force.
PROPULSION FROM ROTATING MEMBERS
A propulsion system includes a rotation member, a first mass and a motor. The rotation member has a length extending between first and second ends and an axle of rotation between the first and second ends transverse to the length. The first mass is coupled with the rotation member at the first end and rotatable relative to the rotation member about a first mass axis. The first motor is configured to, while the rotation member is rotating about the axle of rotation, translate the axle of rotation along a path perpendicular to both the length and the axle of rotation by applying a force to accelerate rotation of the first mass about the first mass axis.
APPARATUS FOR GENERATING PROPULSIVE FORCE WITHOUT USING REACTION OF SUBSTANCE
[Problem to be Solved] A propulsive force is generated without using reaction of a substance, eliminating the need for a portion exposed to an external environment.
[Solution] Rotary motion of at least one inclined circling trajectory A around the rotation axis B and circling motion of the substance C are performed simultaneously and continuously so that each time the inclined circling trajectory A rotates through 180 around the rotation axis B, a change in the inclination angle is caused for the circling trajectory of the substance C by up to 90 relative to each of the Y axis and the Z axis, and interaction with the resistance exhibited by the substance C against the change is used as a propulsive force.
Rotational Energy Based Propulsion System
This application is for specifying the basic physics behind a propulsion system based upon using rotational energy in place of kinetic energy to induce a new kind of orbit that resembles levitation. Evidence from an experiment is presented showing that the author was able to measure a small upwards force on a spinning gyroscope in a vacuum to justify the physics. A plan for building a flying craft using this mechanism is shown where the upwards force opposing gravity is from the centrifugal forces of rapidly rotating flywheels that rotate at speeds comparable to orbital velocity speeds. Rotational energy can be translated into kinetic energy by selectively exposing small portions of the spinning flywheels to the atmosphere, which allows for the craft to accelerate in any direction.
Rotary Propulsion Engine System
A rotary propulsion engine system designed to propel a craft. Such a rotary propulsion engine system comprises at least two reaction masses or armatures, at least two reaction mass driver assemblies, at least two travel pathways for said reaction masses or armatures, two counterrotating discs housing an equal number of the at least two said reaction mass driver assemblies, and a counterbalancing means used to maintain a balanced distribution of masses about the axis of rotation of each counterrotating disc in order to maintain a zero horizontal torque sum as each reaction mass or armature moves along its ballistic trajectory. Reaction masses are fired into a rotational environment wherein the kinetic energy of said reaction masses is recycled, thereby reducing or eliminating the need for chemical propellant-based propulsion systems, and transporting heavy, finite, and expensive fuels for combustion.
Propulsion device
A propulsion device is provided that utilizes a propulsion system that does not require expulsion of mass from the object being propelled or from the propulsion device itself. The present invention utilizes rotating disks (having a relatively large mass) interacting with freely rotating point masses (having relatively little mass; in a preferred embodiment, a point mass has a mass equal to approximately 0.018% of the mass of a rotating disk), to produce relatively large amounts of centripetal acceleration from zero to radians of rotation, or less, without a corresponding acceleration from to 2 radians, and thereby produce relatively large amounts of positive thrust that may be applied to an object to produce propulsion of that object.
