Bellows pump device
A bellows pump device includes first and second bellows mounted on a pump head so as to be expandable/contractible independently of each other and configured to suck a fluid from a suction passage thereinto by expansion thereof and discharge the fluid therefrom to a discharge passage by contraction thereof. First and second air cylinder portions are configured to respectively cause the first and second bellows to perform expansion/contraction operation. First and second detection devices are configured to detect expanded/contracted states of the first and second bellows, respectively. A control unit is configured to control drive of the first and second air cylinder portions on the basis of each of detection signals of the first and second detection devices such that, before one bellows comes into a most contracted state, the other bellows is caused to contract from a most expanded state.
Volumetric Pump
The present invention relates to a volumetric pump that comprises an inlet section and an outlet section. The pump also comprises a first volume with variable geometry that is connected through a first suction valve to said inlet section and through a first delivery valve to said outlet section, and a second volume with variable geometry that is connected through a second suction valve to said inlet section and through a second delivery valve to said outlet section. There are also provided first means for varying the volume of said first volume with variable geometry and second means for varying the volume of said second volume with variable geometry, and actuator means of said first means for varying the volume of said first volume with variable geometry and of said second means for varying the volume of said second volume with variable geometry. Advantageously, said actuator means comprise a servo motor.
Ultra high pressure pump with an alternating rotation to linear displacement drive mechanism
A high pressure pump including a linear actuator having a servo motor to axially rotate a hollow rotor shaft in alternating directions, the servo motor having a stator positioned co-axially around the hollow rotor shaft with an interior of the rotor shaft being co-axially coupled to a drive member to convert axial rotation into reciprocal displacement, the drive member being constrained against linear movement and supporting a shaft. At least one piston is coupled to the shaft and the piston is arranged within a cylinder to define a pumping chamber, whereby alternating rotation of the rotor shaft causes reciprocal linear displacement of the piston to pressurize fluid in the pumping chamber. A drive mechanism includes a controller coupled to a servomotor and an encoder to measure movement of the hollow rotor or output shaft and send a feedback signal proportional to the movement to the controller.
Reducing fluid pressure spikes in a pumping system
A pumping system including a plurality of pumps each having a pump fluid outlet, a drive shaft, a prime mover, and fluid displacing members operatively coupled with the drive shaft. A common fluid conduit may be fluidly coupled with each pump fluid outlet. A control system of the pumping system includes position sensors operable to generate information relating to phase and/or speed of each pump, pressure sensors operable to generate information relating to fluid pressure spikes, and a controller in communication with the position and pressure sensors. The controller is operable to cause the prime movers to adjust the phasing of the pumps with respect to each other, based on the information relating to fluid pressure spikes, and synchronize the speed of the pumps.
CYLINDER PUMP SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PUMPING AND MEASURING FLUIDS
Cylinder pump systems and methods for pumping and measuring fluids are provided. The pump system includes a piston cylinder pump, a linear actuator, and a motor assembly. The piston cylinder pump includes a piston located within a cavity of a cylinder body and dividing the cavity into a first adjustable chamber and a second adjustable chamber and a rod coupled to the piston. The linear actuator includes a shaft coupled to the rod and the linear actuator converts rotational motion to linear motion to linearly move the rod. The motor assembly is coupled to the linear actuator and operable to drive the linear actuator.
ELECTRO-MECHANICAL ACTUATION SYSTEM FOR A PISTON-DRIVEN FLUID PUMP
An electro-mechanical actuation system for a piston-driven fluid pump. The electro-mechanical actuation system includes a plurality of electro-mechanical actuators, and a control system electrically connected to the plurality of electro-mechanical actuators. Each electro-mechanical actuator is configured to operatively couple with a piston of the fluid pump. The control system is configured to determine a target output of fluid to be pumped by the fluid pump, individually control a speed and a phase at which each electro-mechanical actuator actuates the piston, such that the plurality of cylinders collectively pump fluid at an actual output that corresponds to the target output, and in response to detecting an operating condition, individually adjust the speed and/or the phase at which one or more of the electro-mechanical actuators actuates the piston based on the operating condition to thereby cause the actual output of the fluid pump to correspond to an updated target output.
