Biocompatible component with structural reinforcement

A structural reinforcement and biocompatible pump head for a pump includes a reinforcement structure having a plurality of ports and fluid pathways therein. The fluid pathways in the reinforcement may be coated or lined with a biocompatible material to form a biocompatible pump head useful for liquid chromatography and other analytical instrument systems. The biocompatible material may be injection molded into the fluid pathways of the reinforcement structure and may be machined after core pins are removed to obtain a desired surface finish and/or size of the biocompatible fluid pathways of the pump head.

Fluid end

A flangeless fluid end comprising a fluid end body releasably attached to a connect plate. The connect plate is attached to a power source using stay rods. The flow bores of the fluid end are sealed without threading a retainer nut into the walls of each bore. Instead, the flow bores are sealed by bolting a retainer to the fluid end body. Plungers to drive fluid through the fluid end body are installed within removable stuffing box sleeves. These sleeves are maintained within the plunger bores by the bolted retainers. A number of features, including the location of seals within bore walls and carbide inserts within valve structures, aid in reducing or transferring wear.

Integral reciprocating pump structure supporting spacer section

A reciprocating pump having a power end, a fluid end, and a spacer section interposing the power and fluid ends. The power end includes a structural support frame having structural members that are each a discrete, unitary member. Each structural member forms a portion of a crankcase frame, a portion of a crosshead support frame, and a portion of a support base. The support base portion extends beneath the crosshead support frame and the spacer section.

In some implementations, the inflator may include a compressor coupled to an air hose having an air fitting at a distal end thereof. In addition, the inflator may include a controller configured to control the operation of the compressor. The inflator may include entry keys coupled to the controller for setting a target air pressure for inflating an inflatable object coupled to the air fitting. Moreover, the inflator may include a display coupled to the controller for displaying the target air pressure. Also, the inflator may include a power cord having an accessory plug at a distal and thereof. Further, the inflator may include an indicator provided at the distal end of the power cord that is coupled to the controller to provide an indication that air pressure in the inflatable object has reached the target pressure.
