The valve includes a body having a compartment and an inlet into the compartment, with the inlet being bifurcated by a pair of spaced wall portions of the body that form a confining region and which pair of spaced wall portions together with wall portions of the body provide a pair of spaced inlet portions into the compartment and a valve member having a first portion that is position-able within a portion of the compartment, an intermediate portion, and a second portion coupled to the first portion by the intermediate portion, with the second portion position-able within the confining region and with the second portion having an obstruction portion.

Poppet Valve Assembly, System, and Apparatus for Use in High Speed Compressor Applications

A poppet valve assembly for a high-speed compressor, the poppet valve assembly including a cage that includes a plurality of counter bores disposed therein. The poppet valve assembly further includes a plurality of poppets, each poppet having a stem and a head. The head of each poppet has a maximum diameter that is less than approximately 0.75 inches. The stem of the poppet is disposed in each of said counter bores. The poppet valve assembly also includes a seat plate overlying said cage, said seat plate including a plurality of through bores axially aligned with the counter bores of the cage. Each through bore is sized to have a smaller diameter than the maximum diameter of the head. A lift spacer is disposed in each of the counter bores.

The valve, disposed in a second position, includes the first seal end disengaging from the first section and not abutting the periphery thereof and includes the second seal end disposed in the second section and abutting the periphery thereof. The first and second seal ends respectively have first and second cross-sectional areas. The ratio of the second cross-sectional area to the first cross-sectional area is at least 2 to 1.

The pilot is cooperative at the surface of the traveling valve so as to move the traveling valve.

The nozzle unit includes a shell connected to an inflatable object and made with an opening, a shield connected to the shell and made with an aperture, a plunger inserted in the opening and the aperture, a sealing ring located on and around the plunger, and a spring located on and around the plunger and compressed between the plunger and the shield. The aperture is in communication of air with the opening, and the opening includes a tapered portion with a wall in contact with the sealing ring of the pumping unit when the valve housing is inserted in the shell.
