It is disclosed a valve (1) for a reciprocating compressor, comprising a valve body (2) which comprises a seat (3) and a guard (4), the seat (3) and the guard (4) developing substantially parallel to a valve plane (A). The valve (1) also comprises a hydraulic apparatus (7) with pistons (9) and a hydraulic circuit (8) provided with a first portion (8a) which is made by additive manufacturing technology according to digital 3D design data.

Reciprocating gas compressor valve

A reciprocating gas compressor valve having a plurality of clusters of kidney shaped holes positioned along a common circular or annular locus in the main body and a sealing element with a top portion, a bottom portion and a tubular section. The tubular section is integrally connected to the top portion and bottom portion. In an open position, a flow pathway is provided through the clusters of kidney shaped holes and the tubular section and the bottom profile abuts a stop surface of the valve. In a closed position, the top profile abuts the seat for sealing gas flow within the valve.

An annular valve in which the shape of a sealing surface of a valve body is optimized thus suppressing the occurrence of pressure loss in gas on the periphery of the sealing surface and extending the service life of the annular valve. The annular valve comprises: a valve seat 10 formed in a plate-like shape and including passage flow channels 11 each having an opening cross section formed in an arcuate shape; a receiving plate 20 formed in a plate-like shape and having discharge flow channels 21, the receiving plate 20 being arranged to face the valve seat 10 by way of an intermediate chamber 50; a valve body 30 formed in an annular shape corresponding to the arcuate shape of the opening cross section of the passage flow channel 11 and being arranged in the intermediate chamber 50, the valve body 30 being brought into contact with/separated from the valve seat 10 so as to open/close the passage flow channel 11; and a plurality of spring members 40 supported by the receiving plate 20, the spring members 40 each biasing elastically the valve body 30 toward the valve seat 10. A sealing surface 31 of the valve body 30 that faces the passage flow channel 11 is formed in a shape where at least one of pressure loss elements with respect to gas flowing towards the valve body 30 from the passage flow channel 11 is eliminated.

A compressor valve may include a guard and a seat affixed thereto. The seat may have an inlet surface and an outlet surface opposite the inlet surface. A reconditioning limit indicator may be defined by or adjacent the outlet surface. The reconditioning limit indicator may be indicative of a maximum amount of material of the seat removable from the outlet surface during reconditioning of the seat. The reconditioning limit indicator may be a groove defined by the outer cylindrical surface of the seat, a portion of the outer cylindrical surface of the seat adjacent the outlet surface and having an outer diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the seat, or a predetermined shape of a predetermined depth machined on the outlet surface of the seat.
