The invention relates to a membrane pump device 2 for conveying fluids, in particular medical liquids for blood treatment. The invention furthermore relates to a membrane pump with a membrane pump device 2 and an actuating device 1 for the membrane pump device 2. The membrane pump device 2 has a pump chamber body 253 in which a recess, which is closed by an elastic membrane 201 to form a pump chamber 252, is constructed. The membrane pump device 2 moreover comprises an inward flow path 219 which connects an entry connection 204 to an inlet opening 215 of the pump chamber 252, and an outward flow path 223 which connects an outlet opening 216 of the pump chamber 252 to an exit connection 205. An inlet valve 202 is provided in the inward flow path 219 and an outlet valve 203 is provided in the outward flow path 223. The outlet valve 203 is a membrane valve which has a valve body 254A in which a recess is constructed which is closed by an elastic membrane 201 to form a valve chamber 218 in which a valve seat 225 is arranged, the front face of which faces the membrane and in the open position of the outlet valve is arranged at a distance from the valve seat, wherein a valve channel 240 passes through the valve seat. The outward flow path 223 comprises a first outward flow channel 214 which connects the outlet opening 216 of the pump chamber 252 to the outlet valve chamber 218, and a second outward flow channel 214A which connects the outlet valve chamber 240 to the exit connection 205, wherein the cross-section area of the outlet valve channel 240 is smaller than the cross-section area of the region of the valve chamber 218 surrounding the outlet valve seat 225.

An entrance to the passage opening can be closed by means of the deflected actuator, so that a valve is formed in the basic state, or closed by means of the undeflected actuator, so that a valve is formed in the basic state. The micropump can have a second pump chamber with an actuator and inlet, the passage opening of which is connected to that of the first pump chamber.

[Solving Means] A fluid control apparatus according to the present technology includes a first space, two flat plate members, a drive mechanism, a second space, a first check valve, and a second check valve. The first space has an inlet and an outlet. The two flat plate members face each other via the first space, and at least one of the flat plate members is an elastic body having flexibility. The drive mechanism bends the elastic body. The second space adjoins the first space, communicates with the first space via the inlet, and has a suction port. The first check valve allows fluid to flow from the suction port to the first space via the inlet. The third space adjoins the first space, communicates with the first space via the outlet, and has a discharge port. The second check valve allows the fluid to flow from the first space to the discharge port via the outlet. At least one of the suction port and the discharge port is positioned on an extension surface of at least one of the two flat plate members.

A pump includes a suction space, a delivery space and valves. The suction space is at least partly bounded by a flexible body and located between end elements, at least one of which can be driven so as to move in a reciprocating manner. The delivery space surrounds the suction space and around which a housing is provided. The valves are provided in the housing and in at least one of the end elements, and are constructed such that when a volume of the suction space is increased, a medium is sucked into said suction space, and when the volume is reduced, the medium flows through one of the valves to the delivery space, from which it is expelled when the volume of the delivery space is reduced.

A pump cassette comprising an outer flexible membrane covering flowpaths, valve chambers and pump chambers of the cassette is designed to be actuated by a control gasket on a base unit arranged to move designated valve and pump portions of the cassette membrane. The gasket valve control or actuation region is at least partially bounded by a vacuum channel facing the outside of the gasket so that a constant vacuum can be applied between the gasket valve control or actuation region and the adjacent portion of the cassette membrane. An improved version of the vacuum channel comprises a flexible inner wall of the vacuum channel flexes or partially collapses away from the cassette valve seat, while still maintaining patency of the vacuum channel during the application of negative pressure on the gasket valve actuation region to open the cassette valve.

The pump may include a first pump actuator, a first pump inlet, and a first pump outlet. The first reservoir and second reservoir may be disposed within the shell and be in fluid communication via the pump. Fluid may be transferred between the two reservoirs to change the profile of the implant.
