LIGHTWEIGHT TOURING BINDING HEEL UNIT
A heel unit apparatus for a ski touring binding is disclosed which comprises a body mounted on a support, the body being rotatable relative to the support on a vertical axis. The body comprises a resilient element movable within the body which when pre-loaded under compression or tension, exerts forces in opposing directions. The body also comprises at least one forward connector moveable between resting and release positions for releasably connecting the body to the heel of a footwear and a My linkage between the resilient element and the at least one forward connector configured such that force exerted in one of the opposing directions resists movement of the at least one forward connector from the resting position to the release position. The resilient element, the at least one forward connector and the My linkage cooperate to resist forward release. The body further comprises a Mz linkage between the resilient element and a resting surface on the support configured such that the force in the other of the opposing directions presses against the resting surface to resist rotation of the body about the support. The resilient element, the Mz linkage and the body cooperate to resist lateral release. Shocks independently affecting the My and the Mz linkages do not significantly lessen resistance to Mz and My release, respectively.
Touring binding to be fitted to a gliding board
The present invention relates to a front unit of a touring binding, wherein the front unit comprises a bearing arrangement having a bearing element, wherein the bearing element is designed to hold a touring shoe on the front unit on a counter-bearing portion of the touring shoe so as to be pivotable about a transverse axis extending transversely to a glide board longitudinal axis, wherein a release path is defined on the bearing arrangement, along which path the counter-bearing portion of the touring shoe can exit the bearing arrangement, wherein the front unit further comprises a blocking portion designed to block the movement of the counter-bearing portion of the touring shoe along the release path when the front unit is in a blocked state, and to allow the movement of the counter-bearing portion of the touring shoe along the release path when the front unit is in a neutral state.

HOLDING ELEMENT FOR A SKI BOOT WITH A TILTABLE FITTING PEDAL
Rear holding element for a ski boot comprising a heel grip (11), a lever (6) and a fitting pedal (7), characterized in that the fitting pedal (7) is mobile relative to the heel grip (11).
ULTRALIGHT FRONT JAW
A front jaw for a touring ski binding, includes a base and at least one recess or transit opening in the base. Lateral sole retainers lie opposite each other in relation to a longitudinal axis of the front jaw each include a boot retainer pin and, in a pivoted-in state, co-operate with bearings formed on a ski boot, defining a pivoting axis for the boot extending substantially transverse to the longitudinal axis of the front jaw, and are adjustable between the pivoted-in state, where the bearings of the boot engage the boot retainer pins, and a pivoted-away state where the bearings of the boot are not engaged with the boot retainer pins; spring elements for tensioning the lateral sole retainers; a tensioning lever for moving the sole retainers from the pivoted-in state to the pivoted-away state to release the ski boot from a downhill skiing position or a walking position.
System for a touring ski-binding comprising a front unit and a heel unit
System for a touring ski-binding comprising a front unit and heel unit comprising a heel member, wherein the stopper plate is switchable between an adjacent position and a protruding position, wherein the stopper plate is configures to leave the adjacent position when the touring ski binding is released, wherein the heel unit is switchable between a starting position for providing a blocking function and for receiving a ski boot, and a snap-in position for retaining the ski boot, wherein the heel unit comprises a walking means by means of which the stopper plate can be blocked in the adjacent position, wherein the blocking means with respect to the pivot axis is switchable between a blocking position and a non-blocking position depending on the position of the heel member, wherein with respect to the downhill mode the front unit in the climbing mode of the touring ski-binding is displaced to the front in the longitudinal direction of the ski, so that a ski boot present in the touring ski-binding cannot contact the heel member of the heel unit.
TOURING BINDING HEEL UNIT
An apparatus for holding a footwear heel to a snow travel aid is provided. The apparatus comprises a mountable base connected to a generally vertical post and an upper portion having at least one forward connector for connecting the upper portion to the heel. The upper portion is rotatable on the post between a downhill position and at least one touring position and comprises at least one part which travels over a prominence at a fixed location relative to the upper portion during rotation from the downhill position to the touring position. The at least one part becomes engageable with a depression adjacent the prominence when the upper portion is in the touring position to resist rotation from the touring position back to the downhill position. The post comprises a feature that provides clearance for the at least one part to travel over the prominence or which functions as the prominence and depression. Also provided are posts for use as a part in such an apparatus.
SYSTEM FOR OPTIONAL DYNAMIC POSITIONING OF A SKI BINDING ON A SKI
A system for optional dynamic positioning of a ski binding or parts thereof on or in a ski during use, the system comprising a motor, an energy source for driving the motor, a control system arranged to control the motor and a track that transmits power from the motor to the ski binding or parts thereof.
Apparatus for adapting a snowboard boot for use with an alpine ski
An adjustable ski binding adapter apparatus that adapt a snowboard boot for use with alpine ski bindings. The ski binding adapter apparatus includes a back support pivotally coupled to a sole plate, where the back support pivots to aid in stepping into the ski binding adapter apparatus. The sole plate is adjustable for length. Adjustable strap assemblies are coupled to the sole plate and the back support and snugly encircle and restrain the boot in the ski binding adapter apparatus. The back support and the sole plate are configured to conform to ski boot standards and attach to a conventional ski binding.
