The pumping system includes a pump, a motor coupled to the pump, a user interface associated with the pump designed to receive input instructions from a user, and a controller in communication with the motor. The controller determines a power parameter associated with the motor and compares the power parameter to a predetermined threshold value. The controller triggers a safety vacuum release system based on the comparison of the power parameter and the threshold value.

When it has been determined the target flow rate and/or target pressure has been achieved, the systems and methods also may include operating the hydraulic fracturing units to maintain the target flow rate and/or target pressure. When the target flow rate has not been achieved, the systems and methods also may include generating notification signals, and/or when the target pressure has not been achieved, the systems and methods further may include operating the hydraulic fracturing units to maintain a maximum flow rate.

The present invention involves a rotary peristaltic pump and associated method employing the relaxation of pressure on flexible tubing between the rotor and stator of the pump to restore the rotor to a start angle while a valve on the output of the pump is closed to avoid progress of fluid through the system. Three different implementations of the pump and method are presented including reciprocating the stator, reciprocating the rotor, and retracting the idler rollers of the rotor into the rotor to relieve the pressure on the flexible tubing. A controller ensures the appropriate switching and timing of the valve and rotor of the pump. The pump and associated method are directed to the precision dispensing of pharmaceutical fluids into containers, including containers held in container nests.

The determination of the corrected pump model includes: at each frequency, determining a corrected Q-P curve to be the Q-P curve shifted by the power error; determining a Q-H-P surface based on the corrected Q-P curves and the Q-H curves at all the frequencies; at each frequency, determining a head error based on the surface and the power error; and at each frequency, determining a corrected Q-H curve to be the Q-H curve shifted by the head error.
