Rotating piston for pumps
A piston is the driven component within a pump. The piston is driven along a longitudinal axis to pump a fluid through the pump. The fluid flows through the piston between an upstream end of the pump and a downstream end of the pump. The piston outputs the fluid into the downstream end of the pump at a vector offset from the longitudinal axis, thereby inducing rotation of the piston throughout the pumping process. Rotating the piston encourages even wear on various components within the pump, such as sealing rings surrounding the piston, thereby increasing the lifespan of the components and increasing the efficiency of the pump.
BULK UNLOADER FOLLOWER SEAL
A pump follower for use in a container storing a material includes a body configured to be inserted into the container, the body having a material contacting surface configured to contact the material in the container and a peripheral surface substantially perpendicular to the material contacting surface. A groove is defined on the peripheral surface of the body and a sealing element is disposed in the groove and configured to slidably contact the container. The sealing element has a channel defined within, where the sealing element is configured to be compressed when the pump follower is inserted into the container, such that the channel decreases in size. A sealing element for use with a pump follower is also disclosed. The sealing element has a body has an outer surface, a first side, and a second side, and a channel defined within the sealing element body.
HAND AIR PUMP INFLATING DEVICE
A hand air pump inflating device includes a cylinder body, a tubular shaft and a tubular piston rod extending longitudinally, larger and smaller end caps respectively enclosing rear ends of the piston rod and the cylinder body, front and rear piston ring modules respectively enclosing a front end of the piston rod and a rear end of the tubular shaft, and a one-way check valve disposed between the rear end of the tubular shaft and the rear piston ring module. The piston rod is movable forward and rearward relative to the cylinder body and the tubular shaft for inflating an inflatable object.
Fluted piston components for pumps
A piston rod and piston head are the driven components within a pump. An upstream end of the piston rod is attached within an aperture of the piston head. At least one flute extends between the upstream end of the piston rod and the aperture, and the at least one flute is configured to provide a flowpath for a fluid, such as paint, to flow downstream of the piston head and piston rod. The flutes facilitate a smooth downstream flow of the fluid, thereby reducing hydraulic resistance and reducing wear caused by the fluid.
Rotary swinging subassembly and device for cointegrated fluidic multiplexing and volumetric pumping of a fluid
A reciprocating and rotary subassembly for positive displacement pumping of a fluid includes a hollow body provided with through ducts, a piston received in the cavity, with which it co-operates to define a working chamber, the piston having a recess in fluid-flow communication with the working chamber, and being suitable for being moved in reciprocating and rotary manner to place or not to place the recess facing a duct and to cause the volume of the working chamber to vary, and a sleeve provided with through orifices, interposed between the piston and the body, and suitable for taking up different successive fluid-flow configurations in each of which each duct is selectively closed or open. A reciprocating and rotary pumping device includes such a reciprocating and rotary subassembly, drive means, and mechanical coupling means.
VALVE-LESS VARIABLE DISPLACEMENT PUMP
A pump assembly is provided. The pump assembly includes a stator assembly and a piston assembly. The stator assembly includes a rotary winding and a linear winding. The piston assembly is positioned within the stator assembly. The piston assembly translates along a lengthwise axis of the stator assembly and rotates about the lengthwise axis of the stator assembly to create a pumping action.
